Easily check your camera shutter count to know whether newly purchased camera is really new, or check how heavily used a pre-owned camera.

The App will also show Serial Number for Nikon/Fuji/Pentax Camera, Internal Serial Number for Sony Camera, Lens Serial Number for Fuji Camera.

Just open or drag drop photo file (JPEG or RAW) from your Camera to the App.

Note: Photo must come from camera (SDCard) directly, other App imported photo may remove necessary data and can't be used to show shutter count.

Most of canon cameras need USB connection to read shutter count, the photo read method will not work, please connect your camera with USB connection first then use the App to get shutter count. You need disable the camera WIFI first to use USB connection.

Returns camera information except shutter count

I am looking to sell my Sony Next-6 camera and bought this app to see the shutter count. . I'm wondering if this is just a test version or something. This screen comes up with three buttons demo1, demo2 and demo3 (demo???). When I open a jpeg, it identifies the lens but the shutter count field is blank. I tried this for several photos. Same result.

UPDATE - it was unclear in the interface but file has to come directly from camera. I guess my files were stripped of shutter info through LightRoom. App seems to work now but could be clearer. Still don’t understand why buttons are labeled Demo. Wouldn’t "show count” be better?

Developer Response ,

Hi, glad to know that works now, thank you for the updated review. The buttons were only used for demo photos, good suggestions and we will make the interface easier to understand in next version.

Only tool for Mac I’ve found that will pull shutter count from Sony

This tool is awesome, just drag a drop a photo to find the shutter count on your camera. Couldn’t be simpler

789for you ,

will not open

Downloaded after doing the trial in the app store and it will not open. So even the test I did would not give Sony shutter count.

Developer Response ,

Hi, several user encounter this issue because they use photo import from other App which don't have the necessary information. The photo must come straight from your Camera SDCard, the photo which import or share using other App from your Camera may not have that information. Please send us email if you need help.
