Sidetalk is a new way to chat with your friends on Google Hangouts, with the account you already have. Instead of a bunch of floating windows, Sidetalk tucks away neatly into the side of your screen. You can always see at a glance who's available to chat with, whether anybody is typing, and any new messages that come in. Sidetalk is all about staying out of your way and integrating chatter into your workflow rather than dominating it.
We're eagerly listening to your feedback, and would love to hear what you'd most like to see. Support for other chat services? More customization? Conversation history? Let us know!

High Sierra support. Sorry it took so long! It was a major set of changes to deal with.
Ratings and Reviews
Design wise, this is fantastic. It is minimalistic and simple. I like it. However, the features are lacking BIG TIME. Currently there is no feature to search for a contact to start a conversation. It just gives you a list in no order. Secondly, you can not create a new chat and choose the contact that you want to contact, which also doesn’t allow you to start a group chat. Lastly, there is no support for emojis or sending of media. This has great potential and hopefully the developers fix these features that currently make this app not so useable.
All it does is crashes Chrome with the prompt to connect to your gmail account. Over and over. Given how impossible it’s always been to access real support through the App Store, it’s now money thrown away.
What I’m Looking For, Looking forward to updates
Would like to see options to delete chat bubbles, wish it had imported previous chat history, upload media feature would be nice as well. Looking forward to updates. Thx!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
