Signal GH is a tool for users of the HDHomerun networked digital TV tuner who want to monitor and improve their Over The Air (OTA) reception quality. It graphs the signal quality from multiple channels simultaneously, allowing the user to more rapidly adjust and upgrade the OTA receiving hardware for his home, i.e., cables, connections, splitters, pre-amps, and antennas. The graph can be mirrored to a TV via Airplay and an AppleTV.
United States users also have the benefit of a map of digital television broadcasting towers. Depends on the accuracy of your device's compass.
If you don't have an HDHomerun, you don't need this product. If you do have an HDHomerun, and use it for over the air reception, you will likely find it useful.
If the automatic scan does not find a station you expect, add the station's real channel to the list of active channels via the Channels subview of the Settings tab.
Signal GH does not support QAM (digital cable) Please make sure your HDHomerun is set to use a broadcasting channel set and not a cable channel set.
You cannot use this software to watch video on your iOS device. This is a diagnostic tool.
• Updated towers map to a more modern UI.
• Fixed a variety of defects.
• Updated the towers database.

Lost without it
I have a less than ideal antenna location with lots of trees and neighbors. I was totally guessing before I added this app with a HDHomeRun. Because of location challenges, I have to tweak the alignment once in a while. This app gives me the signal and quality readings for my best alignment. A must have. Many thanks to the developer.

Thank you. I get motivated by stories like this. Have a good TV watching season.
I was having problems figuring out which way to point my antenna. Using this I easily figured out the best spot to put my antenna. A change of 30 degrees made al the difference and I now have clear, uninterrupted signal. Saved me so much time and frustration.
Very easy to use
Great app! Easy to use but I’m having trouble it’s shows I’ve got 100% signal or close to it on a few but 0 quality. I do have it amplified by double Mohu amplifier. It’s the Mohu skyhd 60 antenna and most stations are 60 to 80 miles out. Does this mean I need a stronger antenna?

Hi Blaker sorry about the lateness of this reply; usually people find my email and write directly. It's hard to say what's going on, but signal quality is the most important of the properties to optimize. Many things could be going on, both at your location and at the broadcaster. For instance, you might be suffering extreme multipath interference where the echo of the signal is interfering with the direct signal; or you might even be over amplifying; or you are locking onto a non digital-TV broadcast, etc. I'd check online for further advice on forums.
I wouldn't use the term stronger antenna (although I do advise a quality UHF pre-amp), but a bigger antenna and one mounted higher is usually helpful. It's certainly the path I followed in my own setup, but I'm only dealing with 35 miles where I live.
Maybe you could look at what tvfool.com recommends.
