It's all in the title. I am most disappointed. Do these examples sound appealing to you?
A birthday card to a restaurant owner that dreams of becoming lemons.
A newspaper article about a flashlight that magically turns into super fast mirrors whenever it rains. (Excuse me, how can mirrors be super fast??)
A postcard from a conductor that always looks for panicky toothbrushes every once in a while. (ALWAYS, or EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE? Because there is a difference. And I'm not insane enough to want a postcard from a lunatic who looks for panicky toothbrushes.)
I don't see how this "inspires young writers to write creatively"' by giving you pieces of nonsense to elaborate on. As far as I'm concerned, all these (attempts at) writing prompts are just a bunch of phrases such as "once in a while" and "A birthday card to" all mixed up together. And then the program takes these phrases and jumbles them up and puts them together randomly into sentences that may or may not make any logical sense at all.
There is good nonsense and bad nonsense, and I am disappointed to say that this app falls into the latter category. I strongly dis-recommend this app to anybody. This app revolutionizes the definition of TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.
These story starters are just random nonsense sentences. They have little value and are unlikely to inspire a reluctant child to write. I have been a teacher for over twenty years and a good story starter is very easy to recognize. It should present an interesting situation. These are a total dud.
Not worth it at all
This app was terrible and a complete waste of money. I am extremely disappointed.
