What's New in Version 1.16.7
Hey, Mayor! In this update, you’ll discover a chance to build new bridges, with three designs being released over the next three weeks. And with the recently-introduced Mayors’ Clubs, you can now:
• Join Clubs on Mayor’s Club Island that allow you to connect, communicate, and trade with other Mayors
• Start your own Club as President, invite up to 25 Mayors, and manage the rules
• Chat with Club members and make connections
• Trade resources with members, and work together to create the cities of your dreams
Thanks for playing!
Can't stop playing! Small issue w/ update
I love playing this game. I think I'm obsessed with it. The Contest of Mayors gets very competitive as you rise through the ranks during a season and requires a lot to f your time if you want to stay at the top, but it's a lot of fun. The new Mayors Club seems interesting. I'll give that a try soon.
The only issue I seem to have with the new update is with the ad/reward. You voluntarily watch an ad and get a reward after. I always watch as many as I can. But, since the update, when I tap on "watch" the speech bubble just disappears and then nothing. No ad, no reward. Please fix.
*Side note to the complainers about spending real money: PATIENCE! If you want to stay ahead you need patience. You must plan ahead. Build up your bank before filling up the land with buildings and leveling up. Leveling up brings more responsibilities. If you don't have the financial resources (simoleans/SimCash) ahead of time, you will find yourself falling behind. But, even then, you can catch back up. You just need patience. This is not a game to be completed in just a few days or weeks. I have yet to spend a dime on this game and I've already accomplished quite a bit. That makes me more likely to spend real money in the future, because I know how to stay ahead and I don't feel pushed into buying anything.
I am a Sim City fanatic and the longer I've played this the more I like it. It takes a long time to make enough money to do anything but I just go play my other games while waiting. I think you have to spend too much real money so I patiently wait. In that aspect it's not like the original Sim City at least they gave you a decent budget to start a city. I still would like to play multiple cities like the PC version. But I still am hooked on this version. Love the graphics ! I'm just a die hard EA fan! Can't wait to see more great updates to this game! Also the speed up tokens should be allowed to be used on factories too! And a separate storage for expansion items! Thanks for the Club & a way to chat! It keeps getting better! I have a renewed excitement to keep playing! I think there's a glitch! I can make a bunch of stuff, leave & come back and some items I was making have disappeared ugh! What's up with that and I'm not the only one who has this happen to them!Example: I make 7 hammers and I have 5 ready but 2 have disappeared! They aren't being made and aren't in storage or with an upgraded building waiting on another item! They are just GONE! Have to make 2 more ugh! Fix that please!
Still a Scam
I think this game must be owned by a casino company. I think this partially because the gambling houses are very cheap to add for the boost that they give; are casinos really such a regular part of all cities in reality, that they were an 'obvious' addition to this game? I am pretty sure most most cities around the world do NOT have casinos and that gambling is not such a regular part of most of our lives. Moreover the highly irritating "ka-ching" sounds that accompany almost everything. I like the city sounds, but keep the sound off as I get so tire of the ka-chings and the overdone fireworks sounds for way too many things.
This game has improved but they are still manipulating things to try to get you to spend money. Right now, Vu items are nearly impossible to come by. I would really rather just pay $10 to buy the game and have a game that was not constantly being manipulated. Kind of like having the rules of a game change without you knowing. Suddenly things you have worked out no longer work, hmmmmm.
I have not spent anything on the game, why would I or anyone else. Any moron can throw $5 at the thing and have an instant boost in their city, but why would you; how is it then still a game? How is it that we are competing on equal ground in the contest of mayors? Just spend $100 and 'finish' off your city and spend the resulting free time taking walks with your dog.
