What's New in Version 4.1
This update includes minor improvements and bug fixes.
This is as near perfect as apps get. At most times lately, it's the only way to get photos from iPhone to PC. The cable with Windows picture import only works with alternate versions of iOS. This app does the transfer quickly and easily. Two things I wish it could do are 1-transfer from icloud to computer. Only icloud for Windows is supposed to do that but all things involving icloud and itunes just don't work. 2-It would be bery helpful if, when selecting pictures by date to transfer, there were some easier options. Having to start clicking day by day from 1998 to get pictures from 3 weeks ago is time consuming. Perhaps a couple more options like last 2 weeks and last 10 days could prevent this. Overall this app does what Apple apps cannot do.
I'm now on my sixth hour of an attempt to transfer my videos and images from my old iPhone to a new one. My initial experience with this application was positive, as the UI is simple, intuitive, and well presented.
I made the mistake long ago of meticulously organizing my thousands of photos and videos into dozens of albums. I was therefore annoyed to find that transfers with this application have to be done album by album. But I pressed on anyhow.
After a few hours of transferring, I realized by default this application changes the order of my content (unbelievably lame). So I erased all content on the new phone and started over.
A fews hours into my second attempt, I noticed a problem with the album organization on the destination phone: a few new albums were properly created but not populated. So, quite annoyed at this point, I manually added the appropriate photos and videos to the empty albums, and continued the transfer effort.
An hour later, I checked the content on the new phone, only to find that here and there certain photos were duplicated.
This was the final straw.
I'm back to square one, $3 short, and downright angry. I'll never use another application developed by this company.
If you have 5 images to transfer, this application will do the trick. Otherwise, for those of you with plush collections of photos and videos, I think you'll have better luck using an abacus or Jedi mind powers.
Easy transfer app - great for photography
Quickly transferring images while keeping the PC file names has been a tremendous help. After taking a lot of pictures with my Sony a6000 (read: big files and lots of them every day) I find lots of advantages to using both a PC and iPad. I especially like keeping the camera's file names intact to keep track of what was taken when. This app allows me to transfer files from the PC and preserve the PC name (which in my case came from the camera). The transfer is fast and the file name and camera data are preserved. Also good for going the other way, especially for images edited on the iPad with the many easy and cheap apps. A no brainer purchase. Also nice to try before buying.
