Tip calculator does exactly what it is advertised to do. Simple, easy to use, easy to view in dim light, and has never crashed or froze yet. After you have entered an amount for the bill, you can slide the tip % bar left or right to decrease or increase tip amount and the totals automaitcally adjust accordingly. A nice auto feature that eliminates any need to hit some recalculate button every time you make a change. Found this useful when I want to round off to the nearest $ and want to see how that affects the % I'm leaving.
Simple and very easy to use
I've used this app almost every time I've been out to eat...It's extremely simple to use and very efficient. I've calculated my tip while my friend with his droid is still loading his other tip app. Other people critique it because of the inability to exclude tax - hey you should get an itemized receipt so plug in the necessary info from that. Also, don't get it if you frequently go out with more than 6 people, as it only splits it 6 ways... a simple app and the less the better.
This app is great I use it all the time! However it has no mention of tax which is fine if you're by yourself because you can just calculate your tip w/ a pre-tax subtotal. But if you're splitting the bill you either have to tip on the tax or manually split the tax amount up and then add it into the amount that each person is paying. If they made it so that you could add the tax in after you calculated the tip but before you split up the bill this app would easily be worth 5 stars! It's quick, simple, and nice enough looking.
