Simple Bills is a great app in theory, it’s super easy to use and a great way to pay your utility bill. However, they charge you 3 extra dollars a month to keep a card on file and then have additional “monthly fees” on top of that. Why charge me an extra 8 dollars every month? My $17 dollar utility bill every month is now $25 and that’s not easy to pay for as a full time college student working a crappy part time job. Also, every time I pay my bill, a notification pops up to let me know my bill has been paid, but when you try to press “OK” the app freezes and you have no other option but to force close it. It seems from all of these reviews too that the company never gets back to their customers about complaints either, so that’s great.

Confirmation on Payment locks up application


Please fix your application. When I submit my payment on the Mobile application (iPhone 7), I get a confirmation pop-up that cannot be interacted with. It says my bill has successfully been paid, has an "ok" option, but it's not clickable. So it just locks up the whole application.

I think the app and business is really great - I've never had issues with the business at all. In fact I think it's great - they've really solved a lot of issues for me when it comes to living with a lot of roommates (8 in one house for 3 years). I highly recommend Simple Bills if you take a moment to set it up correctly the first time.

This application is also great for making payments whenever I need! I think it's very convenient, and recommend it highly.

I will gladly change my review to 5 stars for fixing this app.

They randomly charge you


They will randomly charge you even if you don’t have a monthly withdrawal set up and if you cancel your account they can STILL charge you if a bill goes unpaid or messed up. In my case one of my utilities wrongly charged simplebills for a bill I had already paid, but simplebills let them charge them and then withdrew $220 from my account even though I had cancelled their services 3 months prior. Had paid bills without their service for months and then they charge me for something out of the blue and told me to contact the utilities company. Was absolutely no help
