I've tried multiple different apps for guidance during my at-home yoga practice, so I have my own preferences. However personal preference aside, I'll try to leave an unbiased review.
POSITIVES: 1. Contains postures not commonly included in other apps. 2. Video is a real person. 3. Audio VoiceOver isn't a harsh voice.
NEGATIVES: 1. Audio VoiceOver doesn't include transitions. Proper transitions are important to avoiding injury and very helpful in quieting the mind. 2. If user isn't already familiar with transitions between poses, they are forced to watch the video (this could cause neck injury if not careful). 3. If you are familiar with yoga, postures may be too simplistic. If unfamiliar, coaching may lead to improper posture (which could result in injury).
Great app even for overweight people
I have used this app for a while now and it is the one I always go back to. I have other yoga apps that are more complicated and have more bells and whistles and I always end up back here. I am overweight (60 pounds down!) and working on my health and I can complete almost every pose without modification. Definitely recommend.
I do not like it...
Very, very, very not calming. Super frustrating when the lady won't stop talking!!! These aren't yoga poses you have to keep moving really quickly and nothing makes sense because you can't look at the screen while trying to follow the exercise. I hate it!! I just wanted to have a relaxing exercise and now all I want to do is punish whoever created this friggin app!!! I really enjoy the daily workouts that this company has however I strongly recommend not wasting storage on your phone by downloading this horribly frustrating app!!!!!! Uuuuuuugggghhhh!!!! I'm so not in the zen mood I was hoping for...
