Since iQuit is a very simple app to keep track of the time since stopping smoking. It also provides an estimated financial saving and acts as a motivational aid.

I wrote a version of this programme on the 25th March 2009... The day I stopped smoking.

Perhaps it's just the Scot in me, but I found the fact that I was saving my money as well as my health to be a great motivator through the cravings and during my weaker moments.

It also became a little like an unbroken chain of 'good days' - the more they accumulated, the more determined I was to not break the chain!

I hope that this simple application can help you to stay smoke-free as it has for me.

Good luck,

Hugh Williams

What's New in Version 2.4

This is a very minor update.

The update makes this version now backwardly compatible with iOS 4.3.
(I hadn't realised that the previous version excluded users with older devices)

- Why no MONTHS?

I often have feedback asking for months in the time display - Here's why there will be no 'months' in this counter...

I always wanted my timer to be as exact as possible and to be an 'even playing-field' for all users. With months however, if I quit on January 1st and you quit on February 1st, you'll be one month quit far quicker than me. - That's not fair at all!

We do know however that there are (almost) exactly 52 weeks in a year: Nice and straightforward. So please don't leave negative reviews for a lack of months - It's only fair :)

Customer Reviews

I quit smoking over two years ago now, and this app was a huge part of it. In the beginning it was often just enough inspiration to keep going and now I still look at it any time I need a little reminder of how far I've come and what I am capable of. Thank you for making this wonderful app.

Simply Genius

All the motivation you need in one screen - seconds turn into minutes turn into hours turn into days turn into weeks. And, for me, they will turn into years in less than 10 weeks.

42 weeks, 2 days, 16 hours, 29 minutes, and 10 seconds since I quit.

Smoking app turned bulimia app

This is what I was looking for and couldn't find in eating disorder apps. It's straight-forward and clean. I didn't want all the extras, just how long since I'd binged (instead of smoked) and how much money I've saved not buying binge food (instead of cigs.) I'd give this more stars if I could.
