How it works:
You choose the range, scale pattern, and how fast the notes play. Singer's Friend Lite then plays the scale pattern from the bottom of the selected range to the top and then back down again.
Singer's Friend Lite is perfect for singers of all levels and styles. Use it anytime to warm up for a performance, develop agility, or work on technique.

Working so far
I haven't had any problems with it. It hasn't had any technical issues, like freezing or crashing, and it pretty much does what it says it will - not much more to say there.
That being said, I'd like to suggest an option for full scales. (Major and minor would be nice). I downloaded this app hoping it would help with vocal warm ups for a local theater troupe when a pianist isn't available, but we're used to using full scales to warm up, rather than arpeggios. I would more likely to keep and recommend this app if a scales function was provided.
Most Helpful for Those Who Don't Read Music or Play Piano
I just started taking voice lessons again after 25 years, and with my piano in my basement, I was searching for an easy way to accompany my practice warm-ups. This app was not helpful for me. I read the reviews before downloading the app, and the conditions I mentioned in the subject of this review seem to be the problem to me.
I was uncomfortable with being unable to see a music staff or piano keyboard while trying to sing. However, there is also an advantage in that the singer can sometimes go lower or higher than they originally thought.
For me, another disadvantage exists in that my voice teacher suggested that for this week, I focus on a particular range of notes. In this app, I did not have any way to set up that option.
Bottom Line: This app is not for me, but it might be just what you're looking for. I've seen others that are better and costlier.
Room to Improve
What I Like: It's easy, assessable, and focuses on the main issue singers and musicians have issues with-pitch. It's a simple way to better your voice and or playing. Not to mention it trains the musical ear.
Improvements to be Made: I wish I could pause on a note and have it play continually. This would help me focus on the main notes I have problems with.
