Listen to a lot
I've really enjoyed the app. I listen to about 5-7 stations regularly. I really like the hosts (Jose Mangin should get a raise!). It's nice to be able to listen at home or at work on wifi with or without earphones. I also like the OnDemand feature. They need to put Into the Trivia Pit back on it though, as that was my main reason for upgrading to Internet radio.
The app does crash sometimes, but maybe just a few times per month for me. Most of the time I don't have any issues with it.
Finally, I like having the favorites menu to quickly see what's on, and I like that it starts the song from the beginning so that you don't come in at the end of a song you like as it often happens when listening to the radio in the car.
Don't Download or Update
Updated App and couldn't log on to my iPhone or iPad. Hit Forgot Password and got a message that my e-mail was not recognized even though Sirius e-mailed me that day! Called Customer Service and stayed on hold forever. Finally spoke to someone who helped reset my account. Could log on through Internet to see account details (including that I owe them nothing!) but still could not log on to radio on iPad or iPhone. Customer rep forwarded me to someone in the tech department and I ended up in the same long queue. Gave up and tried later. Same thing happened. Now I've lost almost 1 hour on the phone. Tried one more time. The rep told me they had had several callers with same issues after updating and asked me to try again in a few days. Sirius is really anxious to make sure you renew your account. They call you and call you and call you until they wear you down. Unless Customer Service really improves I might not wear down so easily the next time.
Solid update, mostly for the looks
UPDATE: The latest update is a disaster! The app just stopped working altogether. Seriously why am I paying for something I can't even use. I had a few on demand shows that I've likely lost forever since they've expired during this disaster. I'm sure this has something to do with the programming updates coming tomorrow but sheesh, can Sirius do anything right?
When it WAS working the app kept forgetting my preferences and favorites and continually erased my downloaded shows. Now it's just dead in the water. I'm thisclose to canceling this service altogether.
The new interface isn't exactly intuitive but it finally looks like something made in the 2000s. I suppose I can give them that much. Thanks for finally getting rid of that beveled icon which looked like something on the iPhone 1.
Please add a skip forward 15 and skip back 15 button as well as the time. Also, the skip back 15 button is way too close to the skip segment button when playing On Demand. Did anyone even test this stuff?
There should be a dock button for downloads. I shouldn't need to click on the Me button then downloads to get there. This is a commonly used function for crissakes.
Why does an application with fairly limited functionality have to be so darn complicated? Look at TuneIn and copy what they did.
