Great app for great service
The app works wonderfully. It is very rare to have any kind of a glitch. Occasionally something will freeze up or you lose the stream in the middle of your listening. But with the app you can fire it right back up and get right where you were. I use the app 97% of the time for Howard Stern. For that purpose it is unbelievable. You can pause, rewind,fast-forward. You have the choice of two full-time channels and on-demand library that is staggering. I listen to it every single day of my life just about. You no longer need the satellite receiver and Sirius player like you used to. Now if you have cell phone service you can listen to any program. When you're at home make sure the Wi-Fi is on so that you don't go through your data. I stream in my car and use the Bluetooth to play it through my car speakers during the workweek going to and from work and driving around two accounts throughout the day. You can pause whatever you're listening to and pick right back up when you get back in your car. The app works fantastic. Please realize you have to be a SiriusXM satellite subscriber to actually get the service. And Howard Stern is considered a premium add on. So if you want him like I do, it will cost you a little extra. If you have a SiriusXM subscription and you don't have the app......you're missing out on a huge part of the technology. App needs work
This app has gone down in dependability. I don't know if it is the new operating system with apple, the new iPhone or the app, but when I had my 5s it might crash right in the beginning of me using it, and in select areas, however now it is constantly crashing, or as it tells me losing its internet signal. At first I thought ok maybe it's my phone or the service until I used tidal in the same area and had no issues. I switched back to Sirius and what do you know it wouldn't load up. Please fix the issues I want to be able to listen to Stern with no problems. I am listening while working and it gets to the point where I can't keep stopping to reload, or it doesn't load and I can't listen at all, and if I am on the bike stopping constantly just isn't an option. FIX THE APP!!!!
Horrible
Can't even open the app, crashes right away every time. You'd think for a service you PAY for they'd have an app that worked. Even when it did work, the app is confusing, hard to navigate, and all around not user friendly. Please update again and actually FIX it.
UPDATE: 2 years later and the app is still pretty terrible. Updates don't seem to address any of their issues, and never seems to improve upon anything. I only have this for Howard Stern and anytime I have to leave the app and come back, it's a complete coin flip on if it will pick up where I left off, or just make up its own mind where it wants to start. This latest update is annoying and gives me pop-ups every time I open it on how to operate it. Please get some folks who know what they're doing to redesign this app because it's awful.
