The SITU Scale app is the companion app for the SITU smart food nutrition scale. It weighs your food in calories and nutrients as well as in grams and ounces. SITU gives you the calorie and nutrition content of what you’re about to eat.

SITU allows you to get the nutritional content of the food you place on it whether it’s a single item or an entire meal.

The app requires the SITU Scale to work. Get the SITU smart food nutrition scale at

Love The Scale. App Lacks Ease Of Use

Love the scale, but the app is lacking a few important things.

When entering your own custom food items the app requires you to enter nutritional information for 100 gram of food and this is very annoying. Packaged foods doesn't always show nutritional information for stuff at 100 grams at a time, so you have to whip out the calculator. If the app allowed you to enter in the serving size grams it wouldn't be hard for it to calculate the rest; instead of, making the user do it manually.

If something is deleted from the food history... the app doesn't remove the corresponding information in the Apple Health app and all 47 nutrients needs to be removed manually, which can take a while.

There needs to be an edit option for existing custom foods already entered since the nutrients of packaged foods do occasionally change or if you hit save and there was a mistake. This would save you the headache of starting all over again.

It would be nice if there was a way to mark foods as favorites, so you can find them quicker and easier. A barcode scanner would make it easier for searching as well.
