What's New in Version 2.7.4
In accordance with our humane bug catch-and-release principles, we gently shepherded some bugs out of the app and into the wilderness of California's serene redwood forests, where they will live out the rest of their days harmlessly trying to crash the beauty of nature.
(... we killed them.)
I use it every day.
I use Skritter every day and it works. I can recognize characters in Chinese newspapers now, and the more I learn, the more I notice components that help me guess what other characters might mean. Skritter offers both traditional and simplified Chinese, or both simultaneously. (Also Japanese but I'm not studying Japanese). It's really great and their customer support is among the best in the App Store.
When I add words, I always have to let the app sync! And I think you can add dialects and feature CANTONESE! It's just just Mandarin Chinese, the app should meet everywhere around China! #SpeakTheWholeChina #DialectInChineseAlwaysInChinese
iOS is trash
I had this app on android and although their were issues, they could usually be worked around. However now that I have an iPhone it's borderline useless. It's incredibly unresponsive and hard to create vocabulary lists. What should have take me 10 minutes tops to make has turned into 3 or 4 times that amount of time. I'm considering just giving up and copying them by hand. It's not worth the money for a subscription.
