Sktchy is not a drawing app. There are a lot of great drawing tools out there, from digital apps to good old fashion wooden pencil and rustling paper. So we let artists choose how they want to create, and instead we focus on inspiring them and giving them a way to share their art with the world.
Because of this, you’ll see every kind of art you can imagine on Sktchy: napkin doodles, digital collages, cut-paper portraits, cappuccino-foam sculptures, drawings burned into pieces of drift wood. There’s even an artist who makes miniature cakes that look like Sktchy users. Then he eats them. What drawing app can say that?!
Join Sktchy. Be inspiring. Get creative. Have fun.
What's New in Version 2.1.3
In addition to several bug fixes and performance improvements, this update introduces a helpful "Recent searches" section to the Search screen so you can find your favorite people and hashtags faster. Don't worry, you can clear your search history at any time.
Inspirational and life changing
I know that sounds extreme but for me and others I know it's true. I've always been an artist but tended to put it on the back burner in life. Sktchy got me drawing and creating regularly more than I've ever done before. Seeing others art motivated me to do more and push myself. Even the weekly challenges got me thinking differently and outside my norm. This is by far my favorite app with a wonderful, enriching community of artists!! You won't regret it. DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!
This app, along with the encouragement from the community, has made sketching a joy for me. I'm glad I found this app in time for the April Challenge (30 sketches/30 days). My first sketchbook is almost complete. If you like sketching people or sharpen your portrait skills, this is great. Tons of inspiration!
iPad version please
Love this app. Collected so many in my queue... done a few artworks.
But what would knock it out of the park for me is an iPad version with landscape and split screen support. My primary way of working is an image on the left (split screen) and painting app on the right.
