Excellent quick reference
This app is well organized and easier to navigate than the printed version. It is very useful to coaches, students, and instructors in preparation for each jump and for quick reference on any rules, regs, and info. It does not contain the review questions for the licensure and ratings written tests, so if you are looking for a study guide for those tests you cannot beat the printed version. The portability of this app is awesome too! My iPad is way easier to tote than the book. I would love to see the IRM in app form as well and would be happy to pay a small fee to have that info become as easily accessible as the SIM version. Well done guys! Really nice execution.
Great port of the SIM
Love this. Really helped me get my A-License by allowing me to study in my small bits of free time at work and in line at the coffee shop)
I think the quizzes could be better laid out for ease of use, and the linked definitions feel a bit random (sometimes will define non-skydiving words, but won't define chapter specific skydiving terminology) and could be better reallocated around the expected needs of a new skydiver.
Overall however, if you want to study the sim but don't want to lug around a giant book, this app will serve your needs.
Perfect for a student jumper!
I am a student who has just finished AFF level 8 and am now onto solos and am currently studying for my quizzes and such. This app is fantastic because seeing as how all I can think about throughout my day is skydiving, i can open up the app and scroll through the glossary of terms to scratch the skydiving itch a little bit and learn as I do it! I love how much information is available and will have this app with me on my plane jumping travels!
