Anyone can use the Skype for Business for iOS app when invited to a Skype for Business or Lync 2013 meeting. However, you must have a Skype for Business or Lync account in order to use (and enjoy) the full capability of the Skype for Business app. Also, some functionality might require an update to Lync or Skype for Business Server or might not be available to all users. If you’re not sure about your account status, please contact your IT department.

General and performance improvements
Hater became a Lover!
I hated using Skype for personal use and frankly still do not use it, but absolutely could not do without Skype for Business. It is integrated with Exchange and keeps up to date with my Outlook calendar, so it is effortless to join a conference call. I completely hated trying to get a conference call number and pin from my calendar to input to phone. The process was problematic and a real waste of time. Now with Skype for Business, I am able to check my calendar, join calls, or participate in a meeting with screen sharing effortlessly. Effortlessly. The amount of stress of being late to a conference call due to an inability to obtain the information to make the call was considerable. The stress is gone and I am able to focus on the content of the interaction versus the steps to just connect. All of this and the ability to text with work colleagues and know if they are online or in a meeting makes Skype for Business a truly valuable, time saving, and stress reducing tool. Wish I had had this solution available when I first started working.... I probably would have a lot less gray hair now.
Just enough work on my phone
I don't want work email on my phone, and with this app and my company's setup, I can take meetings from my phone and see meeting locations without email alerts. That is perfect for me. Also, I'm told voice quality is crystal clear through the app.
There is a major bug with the phone integration, because even with it turned off, my cell phone rings whenever my work phone rings. I tried simultaneous ring on, off, forwarding on, off, but my cell rings no matter what.
Also, IM integration could be improved. If I get an IM with the app open, I can't read the full message or reply, but it also won't show up on my computer.
Great features, somewhat confusing interface
This has worked well for myself and my team. I like the tight integration between the PC version and the phone. It is easy to transfer between them.
This interface is clean and easy to use but it is just a bit confusing. Everything is hidden in "pop ups" unlike the PC version and I always have to think for a bit to remember how to do basic things like start a new chat or rejoin a meeting or switch between seeing participants vs sharing.
Minus one star for that but otherwise a very solid app!
