The app refuses to let me see my own grades. I tried to check them in this app for the first time in months, and automatically, after entering the CORRECT password (it works well on the computer version), it said I couldn’t access my account because it has exceeded the max number of login attempts. Let me be clear, I did previously forget my password, but I haven’t tried the app in 6 MONTHS. That shouldn’t be a problem. I tried to my parent’s login instead hoping that it would work, but alas, I was presented with a different problem. I put in the password I was told, the one that it had been changed to 1 week ago, and was denied access. I tried it a few more times in all possible capitalizations and spellings, and was denied access. I put in the older password, and was denied access. I tried a few more different passwords, and was denied access. Meanwhile, I can login just fine on the computer version. PLEASE fix this issue. It defeats the purpose and convenience of an app.
Love the idea, hate the set up
This app needs an update soon. The app regularly glitches and won’t let me go back to my accounts until I manually select change accounts from the menu. The things that are only available on the desktop version are vital educational components that I feel are necessary on the mobile version as well. I also find it aggravating that the quality of the app has not improved at all in the years that I’ve had it. Another tip would be to allow our phones to receive some form of notification as new assignments are added to our grade books or if our letter grades/GPA were to drop.
Crashes & hard to navigate
I used this Skyward app last year for our two kids and it seems to have only gotten worst. The app crashes a lot, like 2-3 times in a row sometimes.
But this is my biggest complaint. It has a iphone and desktop version, and for some reason a LOT of important information is only found on the desktop version, which of course is hard to navigate from a phone. I'm a busy working parent and it would be so nice if this app got a tuneup and had all the same important info as the desktop version.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
