Love it, needs 3D touch tho
I have subscribed to the on-demand premium tier for around 4 years and consider it a significantly better value than Sirius/XM considering its portability, diverse offerings, offline capability, and fine tuning option (which is an awesome feature.)
I've seen the highs and lows of app development, beginning with the basic black "Harley Davidson" look (that worked exceptionally well), to the short-lived Windows 8 look with the blue tiles and endless scrolling, and today's design with its hidden features that require patience to find. Song lyrics have been gone for a long time now and returning this feature would be a nice bonus.
Slacker's absence of interactivity or a user guide will result in subscribers overlooking some of Slacker's significant points of difference, Fine Tuning and Offline Downloading. If you haven't discovered Fine Tuning, check out its ability to adjust a station based on year (newer/older), popularity (hits/lesser known), and favorites (blend your favorites often or not-so-much.)
This has been an app I've used for a long time now and I used to love it until recently. I have a paid subscription that gives me unlimited skips. Recently I'm guessing there was some sort of update, but now when hooked up to my car the skip function no longer works via on my phone no my steering wheel, which was how I always skipped music while driving, but now when you are driving there is no way to skip or change stations, which I had programmed to my face buttons in my car and those no longer are working either leaving you to listen to every song = if this doesn't change by the time my next payment is due I will sadly be canceling my membership! I'm not going to pay for something I'm unable to use
So much EDM!
EDM is such a niche genre. You love it or hate it. Despite it being a very broad and diverse genre Slacker has thousands of electronic songs. You can go from Trance to Dubstep to Hardstyle and everything in between! They even have brand new EDM and an EDM A to Z channel. If you wanna go from watching the walls peel with dubstep, to relaxing with tropical house and Chillwave, to flipping tables and freaking out with Hardstyle then Slacker is where it's at. See you at EDC!
