Integrate this into SleepCycle for data completion!!
After two years of SleepCycle I am convinced that it works really well! However PowerNap does not satisfy me at all because it doesn't integrate into the dataset that sleep cycle provides. It seems that if power cycle were a standalone app at $1.99 that might be too expensive especially without the data, but if it were to be integrated into sleep cycle, for the same price and for the data to reflect your nap as part of your sleep cycle, then it would really be worth it. Additionally, power nap integrated into sleep cycle could really be valuable when like today I decided to go back to sleep after my normal sleep cycle. I could've set power nap and slept a set additional amount of time, not for 4 additional hours, been provided updated data, integrated into the sleep cycle data set. So, these 2 bad features (1) sleep cycle has no nap or no additional time as a feature, and power nap not being able to integrate into the Sleep Cycle data set, if the two were merged when the user pays for the PowerNap as an "add-on", would really be the way to go and solve a lot of problems.
I also agree with the user who said that when you set the alarm on sleep cycle or on power nap and press Start that that should be enough and not require an additional press of Start to start the alarm is a big functional issue! This needs to be corrected.
Northcube, back to you 😉.
As a busy person, I've had to forego naps lately even though I desperately wish I could take a quick little nap due to the fact that I always oversleep and wake up groggy from a nap. I knew about sleeping stages and REM and all that great stuff, but I could never time myself correctly because on an ordinary timer, I have to start the timer before I fall asleep and therefore wake up feeling even more exhausted when the timer goes off, so I just end up sleeping for 3 hours or so when I only planned on a 45 minute nap. I was seeking a solution today after a long day at school, and found Power Nap. My life is forever changed; I woke up from the 45 minute option completely refreshed, almost as if I had a full night's rest. There was no grogginess present, I was able to wake up (with only 2 presses of the snooze button, haha) completely refreshed and energized, which allowed me time to exercise before leaving the house for the night. I. Am. Amazed. Also the alarms are very nice little tunes and work very well: awakening but not startling. I love this app, and it's totally going in my everyday arsenal of appage.
One of the best apps ever! Criticisms of the streamlined nature miss the point.
I use this app regularly at the office in a zero gravity recliner, but it could put me to sleep in a flash if I way lying on rocks with a jackhammer going. It's amazing. But even more impressive is that it wakes me up per the program setting I have chosen like clockwork every time. The selection of three duration modes, many sleep inducing sounds, and and alarm sounds gives it more than sufficient flexibility. I've recommended this to many people and all have been satisfied. I'm puzzled by people who want statistics on 20 minute naps or 45 minute recoveries. At some point, data on some bodily functions is between surplusage and useless. Do you really need that information and is it of any real use? Also, I experienced none of the alleged technical issues (snooze over sensitivity, et cetera). It' a straightforward highly utilitarian app. Does what it claims to do in a very simple and effective manner.
