Great Alarm

I love this alarm. I use it every night. I wake up refreshed every morning. It detects your body movement and finds the shallowest point of the sleep cycle near the set alarm time within the time interval you set, say 30 min, 15 min, etc. Since it finds the point when you are at the shallowest or almost awake point, when it wakes you up, you are awake and not groggy. Since we all go through deep-shallow cycle throughout the night, I can find the shallow point in your sleep no matter how long you you plan to sleep, 7 hours, 5 hours, or even 3 hours. It is easy to set. Set the alarm time, interval of how long you want the program to search for the most desirable wake-up time (0-30 min), snooze time interval (ex. 9 min), what tone or music you want to wake up to. You can also play different soundscape or your favorite music to fall sleep in ( in the full app only). Nice thing is that you don't have to worry about how your iPhone's sound is set. Even if your iPhone is in the silent mode, it will play the alarm setting you set within the program. After each night you use this app, you can view the color coded graph to have a complete glance at how well you slept (REM, shallow, awake, etc). Gives you a sleep efficiency score. It's right on your phone, so you don't have to carry another alarm device. I do recommend to connect your iPhone to the charger while you use this app overnight. You set it on your bed, so make sure you have a long enough charging cable.

Update made it Worse

Before the update the data was easier to read, and the graphs and text fit better on the iPhone 4/5 screen. Seems like the developers are probably testing on the newer iPhone 6 plus or something... now the text for "Deep Sleep+REM" and "Heart Rate Measurement" runs off the screen so you can't read it at all. Clicking on the rows doesn't do anything either to view the data. They added an extra "Insight Report" button too which seems to take up some space and is a paid feature that I'd rather do without unless it were free. The new style is fresh and clean looking, but it's usefulness has declined.

This is a great idea for an app, and helps to wake you up when you're in a light sleep phase. After using it for a few weeks I do feel better in the mornings that I've set it to wake me up. The motion detection does an ok job at detecting when you're awake, but due to the nature of the accelerometer sensor, it's not always perfect especially if you lie still while you're awake.

The stock alarm sounds are much better than the default iOS ones, and I do like the feature to select a song to wake up to. However my one wish is that it would let me select a playlist of songs to wake up to, or allow random shuffle of all or a playlist of songs. Sometimes waking up to the same thing gets old.

Every night

This app is a perfect alarm clock substitute that I found after realizing you couldn't turn off vibrate on the generic apple alarm clock. Over a year later, I still use it every night and still look at my sleep data (which I find very accurate) to plan bedtimes and when to wake up to feel my best. The recent update surpasses what I expected as the company tries to branch out to be a more encompassing health go-to app. I haven't encountered any bugs whatsoever in the year I've used this app and the alarm is always reliable. The only reason you shouldn't have this as your day to day alarm is if you sleep with a partner, in which case it will still work fine but the data will be a little off and it might try and wake you before you are ready (something that can be disabled in settings). On the whole, I really love this app and can't say enough about it.

Note: as I read through my review I realize it sounds like I work for whatever company made this app, but I don't. I'm just a kid from New Hampshire that loves to sleep.
