THIS APP IS COMPLETE AND UTTER HOKUM
Nothing about this app is worthwhile. It does not help u fall asleep and when u r, it goes under your pillow, that's it, no other way to connect to your person. It is absolutely impossible for this crappy app to be accurate if it's not hooked to u. The only part I liked was it wold wake u up at different times, that's the only reason it got a star. But where I put it under my pillow the data were different, completely different person but it was me. Then I tried duct taping it to the bed. Nothing changed that's when I realized its a terrible app. It's impossible for it to be accurate in those altering settings while u sleep. So to go farther I put it on my headboard and started it on a flat service then it said I barely slept. So then I thought it was the phone so I made sure to bring it to Verizon and they checked the gyro and all other parts and it checked out, since I assume Verizon's word is a tad better.
Terrible. If you have to waste your money to buy this you're stupid, but it's your money.
My problems with this app:
-needs more options to turn off the alarm
-counts time awake in sleep hours
In detail: the "hold to turn off" feature is fine, except it's easy to do when you're still really groggy and are likely to fall back asleep.
Worse than that, though: since you're supposed to turn the phone face-down on the bed, it's possible for the alarm to accidentally be turned off just after you set it! There need to be more options to turn off the alarm than a single tap or a three second hold that is supposedly "good for heavy sleepers".
Secondly, I've found the data to be pretty accurate, at least in regards to how long it takes me to fall asleep sometimes. However, despite appearing as "awake" on the graph, those sometimes hours of awake are still included in my "sleep time", which messes up the averages a lot. There's a big difference between setting my alarm for six hours later and tossing and turning and only sleeping for four. Wouldn't it make sense to count that night as four hours?
Anyway, the sounds are great, the layout is easy, the auto "sleep" in the mornings is a good setup, and the thirty minute sleep window is good when my alarm isn't shut off in the night. I can't decided if it's worth having paid for yet though.
Crashes, not working on iPhone 6S/iOS 9.1
I recently upgraded to an iPhone 6S and iOS 9.1 and this app crashes when I try to set it. I can't use it at all on that device. My iPhone 4S is now strictly my Sleep Time machine. Hadn't intended to need two iPhones. I hope there will be an update that works on the current iPhone.
Previous review: I have used this app for a year and a half. My first version seemed amazingly accurate. No version since has functioned as well. I still use it out of curiosity and to observe my total sleep time, which I am trying to increase. I use it every night with Airplane Mode and Do Not Disturb, though I have DND set to disable before my set alarm time. I have not found the feature that wakes during a lighter sleep phase to work for me at all so I don't use it. I loved that I could wake to any song in my iTunes but now that feature is available in the iOS clock. So I would say this app is interesting and ok but I don't love it like I did in June 2012.
