Use your Apple Watch to track and measure your sleep!
Sleep++ takes advantage of the motion tracking capabilities of your Apple Watch to closely measure both the duration and quality of your sleep. The better you understand how well you are sleeping the more you are able to make changes in your routines to benefit your rest.
To get started simply:
1) Wear your Apple Watch while you sleep.
2) Tell Sleep++ when you start sleeping.
3) Tell Sleep++ when you wake up.
Sleep++ will then analyze your night's sleep and give you a detailed breakdown of how well you slept and how restless you were.
Optionally integrates with HealthKit providing you a safe and private way to share your sleep data with other health or fitness apps. When enabled your Sleep Analysis will be written to the Health app.
What's New in Version 2.1.2
With this update I squashed a few bugs that needed attention, while I work on a bigger update that brings better sleep analysis tools. These updates include:
- Reducing the occurrences of the "Not Authorized" error
- Fix a bug that was preventing the sleep data from being loaded into the Health app
- Fix a bug with the layout of the night display on the Apple Watch
Thanks for all your feedback and support of Sleep++.
Great Concept Poor Execution
I used this app on my Series 2 Watch for the 2nd time & it is not consistently recognizing when I wake up, get out of bed, walk to my bathroom, to the kitchen for water & back to bed, etc.
It actually shows that I am restfully asleep during 2 of the 5 events from last night, and shows I'm only restless on 2 other occurrences that I went to the kitchen after using the bathroom. In fact I was still awake for about 2 hours after I hit start sleeping as I watched a movie while in bed & it shows that I was restfully asleep & stayed asleep or over an hour immediately after hitting the start sleeping button. That's not even possible when I was still awake & fidgeting & watching a movie!
I can't believe that I can rely on this app to be accurate in its assessment of me having a 15% rate of restlessness. Also I hate that it doesn't automatically track your sleep start & stop times but I guess that isn't possible when it can't seem to do much except track how long you are in bed, when & if I remember to hit the stop/start buttons. Wish this app/watch combo was even slightly as accurate as my old FitBit Charge HR or my even older FitBit Flex! Time to find a better sleep app that takes full advantage of the watch's heart rate tracking and other functionalities or better yet for Apple to add this & the analysis of the data it already collects as part of its health kit.
Poor user experience.
You have to wait a few or several seconds for the button to respond to your taps. As a programmer myself, this is awful design to not do whatever is needed for the app to be immediate responsive. Apple's apps don't make you wait several seconds and make you have to keep tapping. PLUS it displays times that are meaningless and it's baffling that they would show information that is wrong. Written by programmers who seemingly don't care about the user experience.
Stopped working after paying for no adds
I used this app on my apple watch2 and it was great most of the time. Occasionally it would not own on the watch but it was easy to fix that problem. Then I decided to pay for the no adds and shortly after that it stopped working. I tap the stop sleeping button and it does nothing. Will look for another app
