Gugl is GREAT!
I am writing this review mostly because of the very negative review left by the other player. I don't know if that person thought they were buying an iPad version of the "Smack That Gugl" game, but this is actually a WONDERFUL game that allows TWO people to play with the Gugls together.
The premis of the game is almost identical to the "Smack That Gugl" game (another wonderful game that offers a free lite version if you aren't familiar, I have honestly recommended it to tons of family and friends ... and the developers were even offering the full version free recently ... maybe it still is -- anyway...) you see these cute little guys pop up on your screen and your job is to smack them before they explode. The original iPhone/iPod version ends there, smack and you're done, this version of the game splits the iPad screen in half so you can play head to head with someone else (or gives you the option to play against the "computer") and when you smack the Gugl here it actually slides over to the other player's side -- you try to make them explode on the other player's side rather than yours (they WILL explode, it's juts a matter of who's side it will happen on).
The game is great for little kids, but offers older players a challenge by using strategy when smacking the gugls over to the other player's side (if you time it right, they will explode RIGHT when they get to the other side LOL).
I am not at all affiliated with this game or the programers, I am just a mom (a stay at home mom for that matter) who really likes the Gugl games (this one and the "Smack That Gugl version, as well as the "Talking Carl" one ... I haven't gotten the hang of the one that looks like a boomerang yet, but I haven't spent much time playing that one).
I usually only get the free games, but am VERY happy that I decided to spend the 99 cents to be able to play this one with the kids (and watching them play it together - ages 4 and 8 - is a lot of fun too).
