Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
SmartThings lets you easily monitor, control, and secure your home from anywhere in the world. To start, simply purchase the SmartThings Hub, download the free app, and add as many connected lights, locks, sensors and more to create a smart home that matches your unique personality.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
What's New in Version 2.0.8
SmartThings iOS 2.0.8 includes bug fixes and overall performance improvements for enhanced stability. Notable improvements are detailed below.
• 1Password integration
• Fixed, login issues where credentials aren't being saved
They did fix the random logout issue. I now no longer have to constantly re-enter my login credentials to see that the app isn't functioning correctly. I can see it immediately--- lights listed as "on" that aren't, modes that don't do what they're supposed to do, etc etc. It's hard to appreciate the aesthetics of the design when you are forced to control your devices with other apps as a constant workaround for the SmartThings system that has officially failed to function properly since it wad unboxed.
And we're supposed to rely on the system that doesn't know whether a light is on or off for our family's home security needs? Yeah right.
I really get frustrated seeing all the plugs for Smartthings, frankly it doesn't live up to all the hype. I initially purchased the Smartthings system with included motion detectors and sensors. I also bought some TCP lightbulbs and a couple of G.E. wall switches, however Smartthings is so buggy and unreliable that it fails to even consistently change modes from dusk to dawn, literally leaving me sitting in the dark. I'd recommend that this product not be taken seriously until Samsung can deliver the fully developed product that can deliver on it's promises.
Still terrible support is nonexistent.
Smartthings continues to make the app worse with every update. This has made my system such a pain to use. ST , bring back the "things" page. That pull down list is annoying.
Oh and where is that v2 migration tool that we keep hearing about?
These jokers keep removing functions and promising new and improved versions but the new versions never seem to materialize.
