Description

Smartwatch+ is the perfect companion app for your Pebble smart watch. It enhances the experience with your Pebble smart watch and provides a lot of additional functionality.

Feature overview:
- Weather (Current weather + 3-day forecast)
- Calendar events (all events up to a year with the option to switch specific calendars on/off)
- Reminders
- Music (Playback info, playback control, volume)
- Stocks (Current value/high/low and a 24h chart)
- Bitcoin (Current value/high/low from mtGox and a 24h chart)
- HTTP requests (for home automation, etc.)
- Camera (Use Pebble as a remote shutter)
- GPS (Location, speed and distance)
- "Find my phone"
- Phone battery percentage
- httpebble integration (all httpebble-based watch faces will still work while Smartwatch+ is running)

Smartwatch+ allows you to display additional information on your watch, such as weather, your iPhone's battery status, current stock and Bitcoin prices, your current GPS location, your latest calendar appointments, as well as reminders. Additionally, you can control certain functions of your phone from the watch, such as taking pictures, controlling the music volume, playing a sound to find your phone, and sending HTTP requests for home automation, etc.. The watchapps that are required to view the information on the Pebble can be installed from within this app.

Smartwatch+ also supports the httpebble protocol, which lets you use all httpebble-enabled watch apps.

Disclaimer:
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Best Pebble App--read if you lose connection

First, this is the best app for getting tons of info on my pebble screen. With the smartstatus screen, I can see my next appointment, time, date, day of the week, weather, temperature, watch and phone battery. I haven't seen another app that shows so much, and I have used the other highly rated app for the Pebble.

Secondly, if you have trouble with it disconnecting, listen up! My watch stays connected as long as 1) the app is running in the background. In other words, don't double click and close it. 2) there are no other apps for pebble running. If you use, say, run keeper it will stop this app from communicating with the iPhone. It's easy to restart it, you just have to do it after you're done with the other app. Seriously, mine remains connected continuously.

This is really a great app, and deserves better ratings. I do wish the developer would invert the screen from white lettering on black to black lettering on white. Or at least give us an option.

Good (when it works)

This application enhances the functionality of the Pebble watch with the iPhone. However in order for it to work the app has to be running in the background of your iPhone. That is fine and all, but iOS kills apps after a while that run in the background.

What will end up happening is that you glance at your watch to check the weather and notice it's not updating because it's no longer connected to the app so you have to pull out your phone anyway.

There's potential here, and the app works but you'll likely have to pull out your phone every hour to make sure the app connects to the watch. This is an iOS limitation and not an issue with the developer.

I agree with good when it works....

I really like the information it provides and the updates/notifications on my watch, but every day (at least a couple times) my pebble loses its connection with my iphone and I have to reload the apps onto the pebble to get them to connect again. It seems that my when I open my Pandora app and it disconnects (because Smartwatch must be the only pebble app running) it's done. I can't get it connected again without a reinstallation. If the developer can figure out how to get the app to reconnect automatically without so much hassle, it will get 5 stars.
