Too many ads and inappropriate ones to boot!
Along with many other reviewers I actually enjoy this game a lot. I have fun playing it and so do my children. I even understand the need for ads especially when getting the free version but the amount of ads is ridiculous and there are occasionally ads for an app called "episodes" that I find extremely offensive and it makes me sick to know that my children come across ads for this stupid app. So I decided the bite the bullet and pay the $2.99 for the ad free version so I don't have to worry about my kids coming across such inappropriate things and come to find out it will only be "ad free" (which is still not fully ad free) on my device. Even though we all share the same cloud account across our devices it isn't ad free on their devices. I NEVER would have spent the money to get a sort of "ad free" version just for my device. I got it because I wanted my kids devices to have the ad free version to protect them from the disgusting commercials that come on occasionally amongst the millions or other ads that are constantly coming on every 10 seconds or less. VERY DISAPPOINTED and plan to try and get my money back and delete the app from all of our devices and plan on warning everyone the steer clear of this game. Again, the game is fun, it's the amount if ads and the dirtiness of some of those ads and the inability to use the ad free version with our couple of devices on our cloud account.
Very fun, but one or two issues
It didn't take long for me to become addicted to this game - extremely fun and a great pass time! The levels are constantly changing so you have a new experience every time, so it keeps you on your toes. Regarding the ads, I'm used to very ad-heavy games, so they tend not to bother me too much (unless I'm doing the challenges and am so bad I die every half second).
However, I have to admit two things bother me. While the ads are not a huge problem for me, they'll begin to lag up my game while playing. This will really screw up my reaction time and have led to a handful of untimely deaths. In addition, while the design of randomized block numbers keeps the game fresh and continuously re-playable, sometimes the omnipotent RNGesus is not kind to me and it will give an entire row of blocks far too great for me to get past, even if I had collected every extra ball beforehand. Perhaps tweaking the algorithm will help prevent that; I have no clue how any of that works but just a suggestion.
Overall, I really love this game and recommend it to anyone who has the free time to play an app or two!! If you lightened the ads to regulate its frame rate as well as making sure that the game's randomized numbers don't stack against the player's favor, I would have zero complaints!
Fun, addictive and appalling!!
I REALLY want to be able to zone out to this game and i love this games simple yet challenging gameplay, but MY GOD. My tolerance for ads is very high, i usually dont give them a second thought and i do realize that with free games, devs need to find a way to make money off their product, hence the need for ads, THAT IS ABSOLUTELY FINE(i cannot stress that enough) but the absolute GROTESQUE amounts of ads in this game drown the gameplay out completely for me, and if you wanna listen to music while playing, FORGET IT, because you will be relentlessly BOMBARDED by video ads that will 9/10 make you have to leave the app and restart your music. The frequency of these ads, especially in a game where death is common(the ads play almost EVERYTIME you die) kill any flow and groove that you had previously built in your previous run, grinding the pace of the game to a screeching halt and making it that much harder to get good at and progress through the game, that is if you have the patience to deal with the carpet bombings of ads this game puts you through. We understand that ads are necessary in games of this nature, but when you kill the players experience you have to wonder when is enough, enough. In this current state i simply CANNOT recomend anyone to download this otherwise enjoyable simple game until these game breaking issue are toned down to a reasonable level
