What's New in Version 2.9
Hello all. This update introduces the new logo and some major performance improvements for Snapheal.
The software now uses a new erasing algorithm and works faster. Plus it supports more RAW formats and works better with larger files.
So we have updated the icon as well to show that Snapheal has grown up.
Thank you for using Snapheal.
This app can do some magic stuff. Pretty impressive for only 15 bucks. I removed a few people and a boat from a pano photo of the Golden Gate Bridge, and it now looks ready to print!
I have had one issue: when using Extensions in the Photos app, I have noticed the RAM used by the Snapheal app escalating quickly, nearing 4GB of usage, then my iMac crashed. Twice. My 5k iMac has never crashed unexpectedly ever. There may be a problem within the app. Seemed as the more red spots I dropped to “heal,” the slower the response time was and then black screen/automatic restart. Might be worth looking into. I have 8GB RAM at this time.
Otherwise, this app can do some great work with very litle practice needed on how to do it.
I’m a believer
It’s not always you find the app that claims to do better job than Photosho and actually does.
It’s not perfect, but for the price - it’s really good. I wish it had layers or more editing tools.
For removing items and fixing skin - this is a dope software. I like that you can switch between
multiple modes for a better result. I don’t understand the precision really as it seems to do the same
job on basic and advanced, just takes less time. But maybe it’s just me.
Very impressive with portraits, I also use an expensive Portrait Pro and the
healing tool is the same as with Snapheal, but the price is different.
Definitely give this app a try. I bought it after I tried it on their site.
Doesn’t work properly with OS X El Capitan
I had this app before I updated to OS X El Capitan. It worked great. Then once the operating system was updated, this app no longer worked properly. The clone feature does not work at all. Have contacted MacPhun several times and they say they are fixing it. That has been over 3 months ago and still no fix. I use this feature all the time, so if you want to use this feature and have El Capitan operating system don’t buy it.
