The Snuza Connect application connects to the Snuza Pico device via Bluetooth Low energy and allows for real-time monitoring of abdominal movement rate, skin temperature, body position and even fall detection if your baby takes a tumble! It allows users to set custom alarms and warnings for breathing rate temperature and position.
You can now disable the "Connect Lost Alert" in the Snuza Pico settings, at your own risk of course. We have also made many Pico device connection improvements.

So much potential... virtually no technical ability
Latest version crashes on startup...
The Snuza is a nice piece of hardware. It gives my wife and me some additional peace at night. However, this thing has some major flaws from a software perspective. Basically, the data is only kept on a single device that must be close to the child. If not close (20 ft), the mobile app is worthless. This is clear flaw in their design to require Bluetooth for app to connect to internet. The data only stays on one device. Second, the data in the app is really hard to digest and use. You also only get 3 days of data. So, it’s hard to see details of sleep patterns and them impossible to compare them to the previous week. Third, the app crashes nonstop sometimes after updates. The app still has terrible performance even when it is stable enough to load most of the time.
I find the snuza to be something that is almost there but it’s clear this version (snuza pico) has a long way to go. I will start exploring other options.
Thanks for the feedback.
We understand the frustration you are experiencing and would like to apologise with this. The decision to use Low energy Bluetooth was based on RFI exposure - this is safe for your little one to use.
We are busy developing a range extender which will assist with the connection, however, we only expect this to be ready next year. We are also feverishly working on the app to ensure the best possible user experience.

App crashes every night
The idea of this monitor is great but the execution makes it rather pointless. If you have a device that depends on the app for the alarms and the app crashes every single night while you are asleep... what is the point of the device? They should have at least made the no-movement detection independent of the app so you can relax knowing the alarm will ring no matter what.. but it does not.. so it end up being another thing to worry about rather than something that reassures you... if they prevent the app from crashing this device would really be amazing, but as it stands it is subpar at best and false security as well.
The app is great if it would stay connected for more than 2 mins. It constantly loses connection and starts beeping even thought my phone is less than 3 feet away from where my twins sleep. This causes me to wake up multiple times in the night just to acknowledge the warning on the app that it has loss connection and with 2 Snuzas on the app this ends up happening 5-6 times a night. Also, would love to see the data for their breathing trends while they are sleeping, but due to the disconnecting issue it doesn’t save anything on the phone. Super bummed because I really wanted to like this app.
