View recent sunspots, coronal mass ejections, and coronal streamers observations from the Solar & Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) satellite.
View the different layers of the sun's atmosphere and how they are changing over time with the EIT (Extreme Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope) views.
View the sun's magnetic field and how it's changing with the magnetogram view.
The LASCO C2 and C3 views provide a further field of view for solar flares, planetary objects transit, comets, etc.
Each loop contains approximately 30 unique frames of data. The EIT loops generally cover about ten days of observations. The Lasco loops generally cover about one day.
This app contains quick links to the 2018 Lasco C3 Transits web page and the EIT CCD bakeout history web page. The Lasco C3 Transits page describes which celestial objects are visible at which times. The bakeout history describes when the instruments are down for maintenance.
This app is not affiliated with NASA or ESA.
There is a fixed banner ad from Google on the bottom of the loops.
- Videos should not "lock up" any more upon loading (please wait a moment for the loop to finish loading and start animating before scrolling)
- Your local timestamp is now on top of the video loops to save space
- Added a new link to the 2018 Lasco C3 Transits webpage (must accept the US Navy .mil SSL certificate)
- Improved App Info section

This app. is awesome! If NASA would allow it to run all the way without editing it.
