Solomon's Boneyard has gone *free* to promote our new game "Robot Wants Kitty!" So slay some skeletons, then head into the far future and help a little robot discover the warmth of life!

Twenty-Three years before the horrifying events chronicled in "Solomon's Keep," the Wizard's college first suspected they might have a problem with one of their new graduates. A battle mage was dispatched to put an end to this young "Solomon Dark" before he could grow in power...

* * *

In Solomon's Boneyard, you can play as one of seven young wizards, with over thirty skills to master. The game is a survival two-thumb shooter, where you will face wave after wave of undead hordes, while gaining levels and choosing new skills to fight with.

The game comes complete with a high score list, and an innovative perks system that will allow you to grow in power the more you play.

* * *

For veterans of Solomon's Keep, the game can be described as "endless survival-horror Solomon's Keep." While you will not progress through a dungeon, you will level up, and gain new and more powerful skills and items while you fight hordes of undead in the boneyard.

Solomon's Boneyard differs from Solomon's Keep in these ways:

1. Your mana recovers faster. You start out as a member of the college's junior faculty, boasting more skills than the new graduage in Solomon's Keep.

2. A new primary and secondary skill set is available, utilizing cold magic.

3. All the skill welding is available, but you'll need to unlock the bonus characters to get to them. Characters in Solomon's Boneyard cannot get new primary skills, and are stuck with the ones they start with.

4. Gold is persistent. Any gold you win in a game sticks around forever, for you to buy perks.

5. The perks system allows you to start your game with your favorite skills, or other bonuses.

6. You can find powerup bonuses to increase your damage or level up a skill.

7. Wizards with more than one primary skill can weld skills starting at level 5 instead of level 10.

Probably the best game on the app store

I have not yet played every game on the app store, so I can't say for sure, but I am pretty confident that there is not a better one. This game is easy to pick up, but is full of depth and strategy. The controls actually work well on a touch screen. Furthermore, no payment option will ever get in the way of enjoying the game. While it's partially luck-based, a good player will be able to make up for bad luck with skill, which makes it acceptable and keeps each round feeling different. Perks are a great mechanic, and extra wizards are always a nice option. The extra boneyards feel like a waste of gold, but at least they don't cost any real money. I have encountered no noticeable bugs. The app works flawlessly, and will even automatically suspend the game when closed. Highly recommended.

Still playing this game 4 years after I downloaded it

Just doesn't get any better than this. Deep enough to keep you coming back with new strategies, easy enough at first blush that you can pick it up whenever you like. The game is balanced, fun and insanely difficult at higher levels. This is a spiritual successor to the twin stick shooters of the 80s and 90s like robotron 2084 and smash TV. In app purchases are completely optional and are not of the "pay to win" variety. Honestly, you'll enjoy the game more if you work for your unlocks. You know the developers are on to something when there's literally an option that reads "I want to donate cash but please don't give me any in-game currency". Perfect portable time killer .

Seriously FREAKIN' FANTASTIC game. I recommend this left and right. Great controls, amazing replay-ability, awesome mechanics, and graphics that are good enough to look great on any device, yet low-key enough to be played on my crappy, outdated iPod Touch. Now that I have the latest iPhone, I still play it! It's similar enough to make it a nice sequel to 'Solomon's Keep', yet different enough that I can take a break from one of them by playing the other!
I cannot stress how thoroughly wonderful this game is. Since I'm nearing the end of this review, I'm trying to think of flaws and ways it could be made better, but... The only thing I can think of is to add more content! Not that it's lacking, but more content is always awesome.
