Absolutely amazing
This game is so fun and I'm so addicted to it!!! At first when I got it I was a little upset because you had to use your touch screen to steer, but then I was looking through the game and found that in options you can change it so that you tilt to steer. You first go to main menu, then options, then game options, and finally change it to tilt and press go. This game is amazing and everybody should have it. The only problem is that there are some bugs. The first one is that I was doing really well, about half way through completing all the medium levels and all of a sudden it crashed and went to my home screen. I was confused and pressed the game again. It was giving me directions like I just got the game. Also sometimes it just has little crashes and goes back to the home screen which just deletes the work on the round I was just playing. But the game is amazing I was just wondering if the next upgrade could fix some of these crashes and bugs. Thanks!
There's one big problem
I recently got a new iPod Touch 5th Gen and I put this game on there from the start. It's a really fun game and I love playing it, it's just that there's one big problem that makes me not want to play it. Everytime I complete a World Cup event (I haven't tried it with Grand Prix yet) the computer says I finished in whatever place, and then the little banner in the middle disappears and it just shows my character driving around the track for all eternity. It never goes back to the menu, or anything. There's no buttons to press, the only resolution I've been able to find is double-pressing the Home button and shutting the app and opening it again. When I do this, it tells me I beat that level, so it does count. I get the rewards and everything, but why would I want to play a game that I have to shut and wait for it to load up again in order to beat a level? That's insane! Anyway, if this and a few other bugs that other people mentioned where fixed, I'd most assuredly rate 5 stars.
Fun game, but with a few suggestions
Once you get used to steering and drifting with a touch screen, it's fun to go through all the different kinds of events. My favorite events are the battle races. Even if your character is upgraded to class A*, you can still get whipped badly. The AI is fair and doesn't cheat (like Mario kart DS).
There are definitely some annoying bugs, but they don't break the game or get the way too much. It runs fine on the iPad Air, and although it has crashed a few times, it never happened in the middle of a race. One thing I really don't like is the limited star currency. There's only a finite number you can acquire for winning events. After that, you can only get stars by entering weekly challenges or, of course, paying for them. There really should be a menu in the shop that lets you convert rings to stars. I can't tell how many times I've accidentally hit the all-star button unintentionally only to waste a precious star.
