Love My Sonos
Ok, so nothing's perfect, right? But Sonos is really close and I love it! Purchased 2 Play5s about a year ago and, no joke, fell in love with music all over again. Purchased the Playbar and Subwoofer shortly after. Was nervous about that cost as I'm not an audiophile and there are many good wireless speakers to compare. Never looked back after hearing these speakers. Best purchase...no, investment, for enjoying my home. Recently bought 2 Play3s and created 5.1 surround on the main level of my open concept townhouse. Have a Connect hooked up to a Sony sound bar in the rec room. Incredible sound in all rooms of my house, all controlled on my iPhone and iPad. Great music, 5.1 surround sound movies and tv, radio programs, podcasts. The speakers are so small, look great, and blend right in. The software is uncomplicated. Oh, and that subwoofer is no joke. Take my advice, Buy 2 Play 5s, bridge-able right out of the box, and play some of your favourites. You'll be hooked by the experience too. Oh, and shop around for open box deals. You'll save hundreds.
4 years, 3 homes, 2 cities and I have my great sound system wherever I go...
Not enough gets said about the portability of Sonos. We just moved into a new apartment and it took me 30 minutes to set up my Sonos system and fill the new house with amazing sound. What more can you ask for?
Our first house had a built in sound system with speakers in the ceilings and a huge juncture box on the lower level. The audio guys wanted to charge me $8000 to set us up with the new amps, switches and pad controllers so we could control the audio in any room in the house. It wasn't the best equipment but it would do.
A few days after getting their quote, we visited a friend who had just installed Sonos in his house. The entire setup was around $4000, sounded great, and offered the same perks that our a/v installer was promising with a new $8000 rack of equipment and controllers.
I regret that I never returned his call but I felt like I was being charged double the price for a system that offered nothing more than Sonos.
But the best part? When we got transferred to a new city, I literally unplugged my Sonos system, packed it in a box, and set it up in the new house the day we moved in.
It's a 21st century solution to our 21st century life. Clean, compact, easy to move and high quality.

Everyday Sonos delivers 5 star sound
After a lot of research including bose, we chose Sonos and put it in every room of the house, the patio and the 5.1 surround sound for the TV room. I waited a year before writing this review and I can save it every day this system has met my expectations. It was easy to install. The one time we needed customer support they were there and walked us through everything. Software upgrades are simple. There are plenty of third-party add-ons that I enjoy like Stitcher, Tune In, Pandora, so there is no end of content. It definitely has provided value for the money we put into it. For what it's worth I spent over a decade in the film and television industry is a sound mixer so I'm pretty picky about sound quality. The larger units are worth the money.
