Controller can't connect to Sonos

Bought 2 Play 1 speakers few days ago and listened few times now. First, the "true sound" feature is a joke, at least in the sense that it took so many attempts until it finally registered the measurements.
Most annoying though is that already 3 times the iOS controlled (this app) can't connect to Sonos... while music is playing. The troubleshooting offered in the app is ridiculous: disconnect wifi, restart router... we use Airport Extreme throughout the house and we almost never have to reboot it... 3 times in less than a week for Sonos is annoying to say the least.
Also, where are my iTunes smart playlists? I am glad to be able to use my Apple Music subscription but only half way without the smart playlists. I'm thinking hard whether to keep the speakers, although I got them at a steep discount.

Update after 6 months: kept the speakers, happy with sound quality, however there are constant, frequent and reproducible bugs with the system and this app, so it still causes major frustration. Very often when I use the volume button on the iOS device it will crash the Sonos system and then the controller app will be unable to connect for a while. Now I just give up and wait for it to come back on its own.. it can take some time though, so I can't rely on the system to entertain guests for instance unless I'm looking to get embarrassed.

No complaints and works with Apple Music!

My husband recently bought me the Sonos system for my birthday and I'm so in love with it!! I love the app and being able to immediately control the speakers from anywhere in the house without having to first make sure it's connected like I would with a Bluetooth speaker. I use the alarm to have music playing before I even get out of bed on the week days, a great start to my work day! And it plays through the whole list before shutting off so the longer the playlist, the longer we have music playing. I know there are more customizations in the alarm setting, but I haven't tried them out yet. The For You option on Apple Music actually has more choices through the Sonos app then directly through the Apple app which is weird, but a plus for Sonos. My only complaint (that's not a big deal so not really a complaint) is that I can't control the app through Siri, but we did just get an Echo Dot which will allow me to control with voice when I feel the need. Also, having this system eliminates the need for the full size Echo, so another plus.
Seriously, this has been one of the best birthday presents ever!!

Absolutely love this system!

I cannot say enough positives about the Sonos system. A friend demonstrated the Sonos system he had just installed and I was impressed with its flexibility and ease of use. I have been looking for something that my wife (who is not a "gadgets" person at all) would be able to use easily and have her favorite music, streaming radio, Pandora, etc. available on-demand. This system is so easy to set up. We don't have a large house, but I purchased the Sonos boost so we would have a dedicated wireless network for the music. The Sonos Players are a breeze to set up and link with the Controller. We now have five Play:1 units in different rooms of the house, and a Connect unit for the amplifier that drives the outdoor speakers. I love it, my wife loves it, and now we have our favorite music whenever we want it throughout the house. The Sonos system has far exceeded our expectations - not a cheap system, but it delivers!
