Years behind Sonos

Having used both interfaces, Bose SoundTouch is simply lacking in several fronts when compared to rival Sonos. The lack of supported services and clunky UI make it cumbersome to play the music you want to hear if it isn't on one of their few offerings (please add Apple Music). I find the "Play Everywhere" feature doesn't always work properly, and occasionally shows a system playing, and the system display shows the song title, but there is no music being played.

That said it works properly much of the time. I believe the biggest thing they suffer from is that Sonos speakers act as range extenders ensuring strong signal to all speakers where Bose does not. This can lead to slow response from the application - meaning I change song and it changes about 10 seconds later.

Update the UI, add more services, and use mesh networking and you'll have a winner.

App is frustrating

I've been using the Bose SoundTouch app for over a year. I can't tell you how many times I've had to go through the manual set up process because the app keeps losing connectivity. I would also like to see it support Apple Music, as well as have an app for Apple Watch. Using AirPlay is not a viable option as connecting via AirPlay is very inconsistent.

Not working

Sound touch 30 is an expensive piece of crap. The app is poor, AirPlay does not work reliably and there are a lot of connectivity issues.... After 6 months, it is not better despite customer feedback and numerous update.... Last time I bought a Bose product.
