Not bad, but will agrevate you
This is not a bad game app, but it will agrevate you as your partner is using a logic that is beyond my comprehensison. He bids a 1 hand 60% of the time, and will lead with an Ace and have multiple spades in his hand. Basically when ever your partner bids a 1 bid, you just prepare yourself for multiple bags. Trying to bid NIL is exciting though, as you are totally on your own, as your partner will lead random cards that do you no favors in trying to hit a ni.
10 and 11 bids are the norm for the table, I find myself actually getting excited when I see the table get to an 11 bid.
It is a fun time killer, but the partner logic really needs some refinement, because if this was real life and your partner was a buddy, you would never invite him the sit back down across from you.
Not worth 4 stars
You are playing against 3 hands because your partner is not logical enough to lose hands or play defensively. There have been a lot of hands where I was at 400+ points with 9 bags and partner would win unnecessary hands losing 100 points. Also not good when opposing hands bid Nil and we have a hand trapped but partner will go for the gusto every time. Graphics are fine, and it is good as long as you realize you have a very weak partner.
Spades+ is not as good as Hearts+ by the same people
The authors would be wise to allow more options, like allowing the player to play the partner’s hand because the computer partner is an idiot. Listen to others about this and do not buy. I really like hearts+, I purchased spades+ because I thought spades+ would be equally as good. It turned out to be a huge disappointment. It would be also very nice to have an option to turn off the bag count and penality to avoid the negative impact that the computer partner poses when he really underbids his hand.
