Customer Reviews

Great concept, difficult in practice, poor cross-device experience

I love core the concept: the idea of being able to train your email app about what’s an alert, what’s a newsletter, and what’s "ACTUALLY for you”. I also really appreciate the ability to snooze and schedule emails, and especially the ability to integrate with Evernote—it’s got a load of features that are super appearling.

The design and INTENDED user experience are both great…

Now, I’ve tried to buy in to the idea of having Spark everwhere, but that—it turns out—is proving problematic, as each device (Mac, iPhone, iPad) seems to need to be trained individually, and so they each effectively have a different sense of what’s a newsletter, alert, and “ACTUALLY for me”… which is actually WORSE than the feature not being there at all, since I have to wonder at all times if this instance of Spark needs additional training.

So. That’s ironic.

I Must Be Missing Something

OK, I installed it. It looks like my Apple email app. What am I missing?

Amazing app for 21st century communication!

This app is truly remarkable, and though I have a couple of bugs I would like to see fixed as well, I think this is definitely the application to push email into the 21st century… It is innovative, user-friendly, beautiful and fun to use. When I first started using it on my phone, I was constantly finding features that I didn't even know I always needed. It changed my useage and mindset about email all together. Email is enjoyable now. "Inbox 0" and keeping up with converstations has never been easier!

Most people probably have personal accounts and work accounts— I am one of them— and the complications of the business world's requiremtns make this application fall slightly short of a complete solution.

I get that, but here’s the issue: The way that email has worked for decades is inefficient and messy. This app solves most of the problems of an, archaic system and does so with polish and enjoyment at the forefront. There will always be people whose jobs or preferences require the features of the archaic system but for the majority of personal communication (and increasingly so in the business world), the innovation is necessar and applauded. I believe Spak is 100% perfect for personal communications, and maybe 80% there on traditional professional communications *if the industry won’t evolve*...

Great Job Guys! Keep it up!

…and add a way to print a whole conversation! :P
