Customer Reviews

Use the app multiple times a day.

Use the app everyday for work. Cox tech support HATES... I mean HATES... that you use this app over using their server! In fact, just yesterday I got into it with the tech after calling them about only getting 30 Mbps instead of the 150 Mbps I should be getting. I told her that "I tried using several different servers and I'm getting between 20-30 Mbps". She then says "I don't see that you used Cox's server to test your speeds?" So I told her "I don't need to use YOUR server, you're not going to get a 110 Mbps discrepancy by using YOUR server". I couldn't finish the sentence when she started to argue with me and started talking right over the top of me, then ultimately hanging the phone up on me after I told her to listen to what I'm saying... real professional! I guess customers are an inconvenience to Cox, they just want your money and to shut up and deal with poor service. It seems to be a pattern with them as I've only met ONE... Cox installer in Arizona that did their job and had a happy attitude, and I've been dealing with them for 10 years on a weekly basis. Century Link is just as bad! I wish DirecTV had as fast internet as cable does. I've had really good luck with their techs on the phone and their installers.

Does this work?

OF COURSE IT DOES!! I've had this for a few years now! I'm not even sure anyone would try to compete. This app does EXACTLY what the name says. It tests speed. Super easy to use and easy to understand. If you find something like a video or a web page taking too long to load, open up speed test and check to see if it's your connection whether wifi or cellular it will give you the right speed. And you can change your server. How cool is that? I've had to call my provider after doing a speed test and find out the my modem was in need of an update. I've had speeds from 01 Mbps to 117 Mbps at home wifi and speeds on cellular from 3 Mbps to 68 Mbps so you can see it can vary ALOT. Thank you for a great app. I use it frequently and have all friends and family install it so they can monitor there own device connections. Oh yea and you can see if your provider is "Throttling" you or not. The numbers won't lie, so give it a try!

Latest update gives slow speed results

I have always used this app as the go to standard for giving me a pretty accurate internet speed result. But since the last update, the app has been giving me less than 1/3 of my actual download speed that I have. I tested my internet speed on my iPad 10.5" August 10,17' in several websites, apps and my own internet provider speed test website. All of the results from other apps and websites test results were similar except for this app which had me at less than 1/3 download speed of what I'm paying to receive. I hope they fix this issue. I have been forced to use other apps to get my speed test results. They've always had a decent app in the past. It's a shame that I can not recommend this app at this time. :(
