What's New in Version 6.4.1
Introducing the new Watch app for SPG. See upcoming stays, experience SPG Keyless features in stay and check your recent points activity all from your Apple Watch.
Wow, this is a terrible app. It's very pretty, but finding anything is a challenge. Instead of a functional, task-based app, it appears Starwood has opted for an eye-catching, magazine-style layout, using the bulk of the real estate for pretty pictures, while relegating actual, useful information to an obfuscated hamburger menu. And that doesn't even work all the time. I thought Marriott had the worst lodging app, but I think this wins that award.
This app used to be one of the most dependable travel apps on my phone. In the last month of the year, my lifetime nights disappeared, it double-charged me for a points booking, and never accurately reflects my points. You cant even send feedback to SPG via the app!
The support I got from the SPG Platinum line on these issue is probably the worst I ever dealt with. Sadly, I think this is a sign of things to come with this merger.
I'm getting dizzy
Horray!! I'm in an infinite Do Loop. When I open the app on my iPhone 6+, a pop-up window tells me there is a new version. When I click OK, it opens the App Store which indicates I have the current version because my only option is click Open, which pops me back to the app, which immediately tells me I need to upgrade! I'm going to get rid of this worthless app. Good thing I have a computer available to search for a hotel.
