-Updated look and feel looks great with iOS7
-Retains search criteria during Add from Web
-Adds a new recipe sort option: Recently Added
-Recipe entry is easier than ever: ingredients and instructions text is auto-selected, which means you can start typing right away which will delete the default text
-Handles extra tall or wide photographs; try it with apps like Piiic which let you stack multiple photos or screenshots into one, which can be saved as your recipe photo as an easy way to capture print recipes, for instance.
Now requires iOS 6.0 or later. Previous versions of the app still run on iOS 5.1.
NOTE: Due to a technical issue, iCloud backups of the app are not restoring properly. If you are considering moving to a new device we hope you can wait until this issue can be resolved by a future version of the app. Please accept our sincere apologies for this issue, and the challenges we are experiencing with the Apple iCloud policy.
This app is awesome!! Very useful & helpful!! The only thing that would make it 10x better would be if there would color changing options to make it better for organizing and looks, & if you were able to add you own categories for the saved recipes!! Love this app!!
Unintuitive, highly disappointing
I would give this Zero stars if I could.
- the app does not allow the user to change categories on recipes, for example, tag a recipe as both breakfast and dinner, while looking at a recipe. You have do this in the Meals area, which is confusing. I don't want to change a Meal, I want to change 1 recipe I'm looking at.
- I want to view meals by Meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) but the app lists only by food (beef, rice, ...) - this isn't how I plan meals.
- Frequencies are vague. I can't set a meal to 1ce a week or 1ce every 2 months - only "often, sometimes, rarely" etc. I'd like specific, not vague, frequency options.
- Recipe frequency cannot be set without going to the Meals area.
- there's no contingency plan in this app for back up - adding in your own meals is risky. "Coming soon".
This may be useful for some, and the Dev has been very responsive to try to educate me,
but I continue to find this app extremely unintuitive, frustrating, and limiting in the many ways it requires the user to accommodate it rather than providing context-friendly options that suit user-driven workflow.
Helps a ton with meal planning. It can import recipes from websites, let you edit them for your family's tastes, and then plans your meals on the calendar for you. Touch the shopping cart, and there is the grocery list. It does everything except buy the food and cook it...and sync with other devices so I could cook from the iPad and take my phone shopping. Overall I love it and still give 5 stars.
