The Spirit of '76 app brings together the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence, plus Robert R. Livingston (a member of the committee to draft the Declaration, though not a signer), and George Washington. You will find a variety of biographical tidbits relating to their faith, careers, education, youth, and the founding of the United States of America as documented in "The Lives of the Signers" by B.J. Lossing.

In it, you'll also find a collection of quotations and links to their various writings revealing the thoughts and principles of these founders.

To further illuminate the setting for America's founding, you'll find descriptions of various events and topics spanning the eighteenth and early nineteenth century.

Ready for More

This is a very simple app that give great depth. What a great combination!

You can browse the founders of our nation, read biographies, read their writings and get grounded in how our nation was founded, which is especially important as time moves on and we can forget how we started.

This is a great app for students of all ages: grade school to college. Not only that, it is a great app for all Americans! With app you wouldn't be caught a fool if Jay Leno interviewed you jaywalking.

Nice app

This app provides some great, in-depth information about the people and events responsible for the founding of America. I have learned a great deal about the signers through this app, and I would rate it five stars if not for a handful of inaccuracies and various misspellings. I haven't seen anything too major, but this app could definitely use some proofreading. Two examples:

The app states that three Americans were killed in the Boston Massacre, when in reality five died.

The title of the event "1776 Colonies to States" spells "states" as "sates."

Excellent material

Top notch documentation on our Founding Fathers. They started a bold new nation daring to go where none went before.

As you read you will gain a passion a new understanding of where we started in order to better understand where we go next. Superbly done.
