Love the game, but this isn't it.
I've played this card game with friends and my husband and really love it. But I wish someone else would come out with this game for the app store. I tried the easy level and after a few games tried the medium level. I quickly went back to the easy level. Probability would suggest that eventually the games would be evenly divided - wrong. The game is clearly weighted in favor of the computer. And more times than not the game continues to give you cards which can't be played much longer than would be normal. This results in your discard files being a bigger mess than I have ever seen with a normal game. And it's not once but time and time again, game after game. Then the computer gets the right cards and plays all of its perfectly stacked piles out game after game. Eventually the computer decides the player should win and bends over backward to make sure you get the cards that you need. And those games aren't fun to play either since you can tell that it's happening. Either way the game isn't any fun.
I agree with MaryMc.
It always delivers! I have been playing this game for many years and I love it! I HAVE had some frustrations with online playing however...and I wish there was a setting to to let me try to play the same deal again when I lose to see if changing my strategy would have changed the outcome...
I highly recommend this game and I have confidence that they will improve online gameplay speed as time goes by. I would also love to be able to chat with or request to "play again?" with a random player.
Utterly addictive--one of the old-school best!
This isn't a game with elaborate animation or other gimmicks. It's pretty simple and straightforward. And of all my iOS games, I play this one the most. It's just enough of a challenge to keep my interest. You can pick it up and put it down anytime, or play through distractions--no time clock to worry about. The game play is flawless--no bugs, no glitches, no crashing. It never nickel-and-dimes you for in-app purchases. Other developers could learn a lot from this game.
