Fun, But Issues Persist

This is a pretty neat little game that somehow takes me back to the days of Roller Coaster Tycoon (1 and 2). It's always a pleasure to be able to build a city and earn money while you do it so that you can continue to develop your properties, and that is made all the better with SpongeBob being the theme of the game. That being said, this game has some serious issues that need resolving (or so some of them seem to be issues). The in-game sounds tend to shut off (particularly when going to Patchy’s town) and tapping precision is not very well calibrated (try to tap a money or food bubble and either you miss or you end up opening the business that happened to be behind it). With the newest update, a glitch I’ve noticed is that after playing by the game once, when you go back to play a second time after you’ve closed out the game, it completely ignores your save data and tries to start a new game. One reviewer commented that deleting and reinstalling the app fixes the problem. For me, it fixed it for one go, and then reverted to trying to start a new game. So, it seems the new update makes it difficult for the app to reach servers to obtain game data. If these issues could be fixed, and if the land beside Jellyfish Fields (by the sea/dock) could be obtainable (like in Patchy’s town), the experience would be better and I would happily give the game a higher rating.

Love it but...

Okay now I realize this game isn’t perfect but I think it’s a fun spin on the build your own town sort of game with the Spongebob theme tossed it. Personally, I love the idea and the game is pretty well made. There is always something to do and I love how it is very possible for a smart player to obtain the jellyfish jam without paying money, most apps force to player to buy it resulting in me quitting the game. I love how the game is designed but I have one major issue. Every time I exit the app I have to delete and redownload it or it forces me to start a new game. I’ve been reading some other comments and it appears that others are experiencing the same issue. I’m sure this is a simple little glitch and will be fixed soon. Once it is, I will give the game what it’s truly worth: 5 stars!

The game is so barren now, used to love it

First of all, there are no updates that make you want to keep playing, and once you get high enough in your level, it takes so long to get to the next one with nothing to keep you interested between them. There’s nothing to keep higher-level players interested, like new updates.

Second, once you buy all the land, you realize how little space there is, you can literally almost see your whole town just by zooming all the way out, for comparison, in the Simpsons tapped out if you have all the land, you can barely see any of you’re town when you zoom out , there’s tons of room.

Third, it’s not just content updates that are lacking, they need to make updates to fix problems in the game, my game frequently crashes, and has horrible lag, even when Its not loading something, I’ll just be scrolling through my town and my game will freeze. It’s like the developers put a lot of work into it when it first came out, a lot of updates, like Christmas and Halloween, then gave up on it and let it crumble to pieces.

I loved the game when it first came out, now I barely use it and it just sits on my home screen, taking up space.
