Some things this could use

It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely pretty minimal. It does have support for attaching databases through the UI, akin to ATTACH, which is a plus as some applications appear hampered by the sandboxing requirements and simply fail when attempting to attach external databases for cross-database queries. However, I can’t find a hot key to execute SQL in the SQL perspective, and I can’t view table structure in the SQL view. This is fine, if you remember what the name and structure of all of your tables are, but if you work on a lot of different databases, or are delivered databases by others, it can be a little difficult to work in. Being able to adjust the font in the SQL view would also be helpful, developers can be a little picky about which fonts they use in the applications they use heavily. The result set is reasonably competent, with a good highlighting of NULL data, instead of just showing an empty space. Ability to hide the toolbar would be nice, as one I settle into a task, I don’t like doing a lot of jumping back and forth. Unfortunately, that also hides the way to jump back to the table structure, which isn’t viewable from the SQL view, where I’d be spending the bulk of my time.

Do NOT buy this product!!!!!

If I could give this product ZERO stars, I would. This product only HALF-works:

1. It cannot import SQL produced by the sqlite3 '.dump' command (it chokes on 'BEGIN TRANSACTION;' … thinks its output from 'mysqldump'… Huh?).
2. It shows you databases in your Trash as candidates for opening (Huh?).
3. The 'Detailed Analyzer' functionality causes crashes (I have the dumps to prove it).
4. The 'Charts' functionality yields a dialog box with some weird error from Google (yeah, that's what I want, to have Google to personal data that's been entrusted to me).

I reported all this to the developer but have received no response. I realize $30 is not a lot of dough but if you advertise something, it should work at least close to what you've advertised. I could probably live with #1 & #2 but #3 and #4 are not just showstoppers…they are BRICK WALLS! I've asked for my money back from both the iTunes store and from the developer… so far no response. I'll probably not ever see it again.
