Star Trek®: D-A-C is a fast-paced, top-down space shooter inspired by the recent motion picture. This pick-up and play game allows you and your friends to choose from five classes of starships (including the all-new U.S.S. Enterprise flagship class) and battle it out online! Command the large and durable Flagship, the nimble Fighter, the devastating Bomber, the indispensable Support Frigate, or obliterate hostiles with the powerful Missile Cruiser.

Each ship class has their own unique strengths and capabilities. But be careful, as each of these classes also have their weaknesses, and only the best commanders will be able to minimize these shortcomings. Enlist in Starfleet or join the Romulan Empire as you battle with up to 11 friends. Engage the enemy in unique game play modes, including: Online Versus, Online Co-op, and Survival mode, a single player experience that pits the player against wave after wave of Romulan enemies and features exciting new Super Special Pickups, unique enemy ship classes, and more.

Choose your side, fire your weapons, boldly go!

Awesome Game but DOES need imrovements in Certain areas..

This Game has great graphics, but terrible controls when working with the ships and I really don't like the points system. It seems to me that the game gives you WAY TO MANY points but the points dont build upon each other, its just, what you get is the goal you make. I would love for it to have three additions in it, or at least 2 of the following. 1. MMORPG- It would be great if you could control stuff inside the ship, or kill enemies that are bording. 2. Have more ships at your command, build a base, resources and others would be great. 3. What it has is great, but integrate more ships, missions, and get ALL the other forces for us to kill. Really is a great game, and has PLENTY of potential, but it needs A LOT of work and after playing it a while, you might consider yourself bored! But, if you are considering buying this game, DO IT! When the developer for this game works to put more ideas on the table, and (HE or SHE MIGHT) this would blow your mind.
Has Great sound effects.
Everything dies TO QUICK
Everything is either to easy or to hard. Switches up fast. But with work, the best app ever...

Dissapointing Exploitation of the Star Trek Franchise

The production values are good but the game play is unrewarding. Your ship can only move at 45° angles: up, down, left, right, and diagonally. You're confined to a relatively small box in which to fight, and it's difficult to tell where the edges of the box are, so you constantly are bonking into the edge of the universe. You are nagged about joining GameSpy even when you want to play solo, twice every game. The help screens on the ship types unhelpfully display information about console controllers, evidence of a quick and sloppy port. It's not a starship-fighting game so much as a crowded, shoot-everything-fast game that happens to have a Star Trek theme.

Needs Improvement

I have the brand new MacBook Pro 2.2 Ghz Quad Core i7 processor with 8 gigs of ram. The game at times struggles with movement of the mouse and when I go to exit the game it freezes leaving only the mouse to function and unable to "Force Quit." I have to restart my computer completely before I can do anything else.

The game has potential but serves as the old fashion games of the 90s when dealing with multi-player. Please get your won servers and away from GameSpy. The game would be more popular if you were able to make a MMORPG.
