It's apparently time for the Jedi to end.
I started playing this game back in the summer of 2015, and in the two years that have passed I have made it to a level 10 and seen the game go through some radical changes.
Let me be absolutely clear: there is a skewed imbalance of power that leans in the empire's favor when it comes to this game. People might agree or disagree with this statement, but it still is true.
With each new update, it seems that the developers have intentions to add more complexity and bland additions to the game, rather than to fix the inner components that desperately need work.
If you're wondering if you should get this game, consider these points before downloading:
1: The lag time for loading the game is horrendous. Granted it is a complex game and would need some time to load completely, it does drive players insane. Most people do a reset weekly to reduce the lag, but in over 5 updates this hasn't been addressed. The game also crashes a ton, and never seems to get fixed as updates continue.
2: Some troops are absolutely useless now thanks to the conflicts made. I can only speak for rebels, but snipers and some other machines are outdated as they aren't built to deal with armory perks and special attention given to heavy troopers and others. The meta game here is to upgrade only certain troops and forget about others. This leaves little to no individuality in the game, as your preferred loadout might be useless.
3: Empire gets a lot of useful additions, while the rebels get some useful additions. Recent updates have given us powered up versions of heroes and mechs, but rebels hardly ever use Leia or R2D2. Empire users frequent their EATAT and Vader, both of which got help. Now, I'm not a dual faction player, but those that are understand this skew of power and recognize that the developers either may not notice this, or aren't paying attention to it.
Now, don't get me wrong: I love the game wholeheartedly. It's a great way to connect with people and play a great game. But the experience of the game has been decimated to a bland, lifeless struggle to just level up a troop and barrage a base. It's sad, but this seems to be what the developers want.
I have considered playing as a dual faction player, and to get some opinions from the empires side. It takes skill to play as any side, and I wouldn't want to say someone isn't skilled just because they play on the opposite team as me. Shaming gets us nowhere.
However, for us veteran players the game has gone downhill, and many are leaving due to this problem. We hope that we can reach out to the developers and let them know that we aren't happy, and how we can balance the game for everyone, both sides alike.
Love the game, but the game will not allow me to play until the update is installed. The update is not available yet.
Star Wars In Your Pocket
I love this game. I am a big fan of the Star Wars trilogy, and after I watched the Star War movies lots of times, I found this game. I can be a rebel or go on the dark side. I would recommend this game for people who find Star Wars.
