Customer Reviews

Confusing and can't use during phone call

I'll second a lot of the reviews here and point out that setting this up can be very confusing and not at all intuitive. It took forever to figure out that it was only available to subscribers and even then it wasn't smooth sailing after subscribing.

In terms of the actual app, it would make a lot more sense if it opened onto the security key page. It only seems to do that sometimes, others you have to go into the security key "application" within the app. What else would you be here to do?

What really prompted me to write this review is that the app is COMPLETELY unresponsive if you're on an active phone call. Waiting on hold and decide you want to login to SWTOR? NOPE! You can't, because the app will absolutely never respond when in use during a phone call and since it doesn't default to the security key "application", you're stuck staring at a menu with the only option being the security key "application" you're trying to get to.

F2P beware!

I downloaded this after learning about the option off their website. The problem is, if you a free to play player, then don't bother downloading it. Right now, the only way for a F2P player to add a security key is to either buy the $5 physical key or subscribe to the game. Their website does mention this anywhere on it, leading you to believe you can just add this as a F2P member but you can't.
Seriously, don't bother downloading it unless you subscribe. The first thing the app asks is for a serial Nebraska for your account, and you don't get one unless you are a subscriber. There is no way around this.
I suggest the makers either give us all the ability to use this, or tell us before hand who can and cannot.

Needs an Update

Back when I was a subscriber (almost a year ago) I used this app on my iPod Touch. When I was using it, it was great and an easy way to authenticate my account. I stopped playing a little after my sub ended. About a month ago, my iPod broke, but I had recently gotten an IPhone, so I wasn't really worried about the app. Yesterday I went and reinstalled the game and I was going to reinstall the app. I realized I needed to remove the old authenticator from the account first. But I need a subscribers serial key to do so. Either that or buy a physical key which I'm not doing.

Tldr, if you're playing f2p, don't install the app until they update it, or actually tell you that you need a subscribers serial key.
