Use to be much better
I have my morning cup of coffee every morning in my way to work at 6 AM from my local Starbucks shop, lately and twice in two weeks they got my drink wrong, they forgot to add cream when I order through the drive through service. Now, I hit the highway right away, and I found out that it has no cream too late to turn around. For those two days I ended up not having my coffee that morning and truthfully, it does affect my day. Not only this, I don't know if it is the summer temporary hire or what other reason there is for the occasional lack of customer service that we got accustomed to in my town, but I had some who showed me that they were annoyed when I realized that I needed to add a mother item at the pick up window, some who served me the day blend instead of my bold roast that I like without even telling me that it is not available. Some were to busy on the headset to communicate back that they are working on my other item. It is just a feeling that they started to drop the ball lately and staff are showing ware and tare.
I hope they would work on this before too late. Otherwise, if they get your order right without attitude, I would give them 5 starts.

Update: June 7, 2017--Stop effing around with mobile order! Every few weeks it seems I have to relearn a new way to mobile order, usually while I'm on my way to work. I don't have time for that crap. It works--leave it the eff alone!
What can I say, I'm addicted. Love Starbucks - have yet to try anything I haven't liked way too much. And the app ... well the app just makes it WAY too easy. I order, I pay, I pickup. No lines, no fuss, no hassle. It's frickin' awesome. And, after a while, I get free drinks added to my account - pretty cool. Okay, that leads me to the one nit I have about ordering through the app. It would be oh-so-nice to be able to use my free drink rewards as a pay option when ordering via the app. I've gotten so accustomed to NOT standing in line, that I almost dread using my free reward because I can't use the app to order. (Okay, so ... I'm a little spoiled ... it's your fault you know!) Cheers!
Great concept needs work
I just started using this app and I really like that you can pre-order with all your specific preferences, makes ordering smooth and quick. I also love that when you order it gives the grams of carbohydrate for your order right there! Being that I dose medication based on the exact grams consumed, I love that i don't have to look it up somewhere else before programming it into my medical device. Either I'm not finding things and then it may be a issue of usability, or these things are just not available and they need to be added: you can't add favorites without them being something that you've previously ordered and you can't change your favorites after it was ordered (modify your past choices) from what I can figure out, unless you want to actually order it right then. It's also really hard to figure out how to place the order and it doesn't seem as intuitive. And I don't see a breakdown for the cost of each item which is a big down side. Otherwise I really like this app
