Mobile Order & Pay performance enhancements
There’s a notifications bug in current release that causes app indicator to show a notification bubble even after you’ve gone in and deleted the new inbox messages that came in. Also, clearing the notification from outside of the app in iOS doesn’t clear them within the app. Or clearing the notification on the AppleWatch doesn’t clear it on the app icon either. You need to fix this longstanding defect!
Another bug exists that shows a basic Starbucks card graphic instead of a Gold Member card graphic when placing a mobile order when pulling up a previous order from history. If placing a completely new order, the card graphic is correct. This hasn’t been fixed in about 3 app versions now and needs to be.
My only complaints are with the order ahead aspect. I don't like that I can only see the price of items AFTER i have placed the order. Its a pretty big inconvenience if i spend more than i plan, want to order something new but don't know the price, or don't know how much additional aspects like size or add ons will cost.
I also do not like the increments in which the card can be uploaded. Many times my drink is just over $5 which means i have to reload $10 for a $5 purchase 9/10 times because im a few cents short. There should be customizable increments so im not figuratively spending $10 every trip I make to the store.
Otherwise, besides these two main things the app is practically flawless.
One bad experience
Placed a mobile order around 9AM to pick up at the 71st and Riverside location. I walked in 10 min later. No one greeted me, no mobile orders were on the counter. After waiting for 10+ min I decided to ask what was up. I told them I placed a mobile order over 20 min ago. They retook my order and simply stated that the system had crashed. No apologies. They did make my drink quickly and to my specifications but I expected more than an excuse after standing in their establishment for 15 min in their store waiting on an order that was supposedly never received.
