Presents a meditation from the (Episcopal) Book of Occasional Services, and a meditation for children developed at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Lancaster PA USA. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life, and continued use of location services running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. The app also presents an image of each station, taken from the Stations at St. Thomas, and executed by sculptor Virginia Maksymowicz. In addition, the app also presents comments of the artist, on the Stations of the Cross, or Way of the Cross, at St. Thomas. The app includes voice-over for the children's meditation and the artist's comments. When in St. Thomas church, the app detects, using iBeacons, which Station is nearest and permits the visitor to go to the appropriate meditation.
This version includes voiceovers for all the prayers in the "Book of Occasional Services." Since the actual Stations at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Lancaster PA are meant to be touched, the total experience is accessible to the blind and visually-handicapped. This version functions appropriately with all current iOS devices in both orientations.
