Monster Robot Studios is proud to present Steam Punks!
Steam Punks is a action platformer RPG inspired by classics SNES games like Mega man X.
Elite Enforcer Dunns Calhan is on his mission to take down the Bowler Gang and get back Professor Clout's stolen invention, The Grand Reactor.
"The other strong point of this game is the art. The sprites in this game, especially the enemies, look almost as good as Capcom's own work."

Super HEAVY Sword!
I want to like it, but...
When I first started playing, I got a good impression. The art is beautiful, the music is awesome, and the style feels a lot like mega man! However, it does have problems. The tutorial is lacking, and movement is floaty. For some reason, when I die, it starts me in the train unable to move. There is a lot more to cover, but those are really the only serious things. Some of this May just be my phone, I don't know. In short, the game has a LOT of potential, but it still needs a bit of work, specifically fixing bugs and tightening the controls. If the enemies, player, and projectiles are sped up, that would also help quite a bit !the enemies should also move around more to make the game faster paced. After that, just add an in app purchase for lives, and that should be it! I mean there is always room for improvement, but this is all the game needs to get a good start.
This isn't steampunk
This is based on the games aesthetic rather then game play.
This is not a true steam punk style game. Visually, the "steam punk" in question looks like it was designed after a teenagers interpretation of what it should look like. The "glue some gears on it and call it 'steam punk'" mentality is everywhere. There are unnecessary gears placed. Top hats and monocles on things that don't need them like giant steam punk robots. Speaking of which, a lot of the robots in the game look too advanced. As well as a lot of the weapons and technology presented as well.
Nothing in this game looks functional or believable. It doesn't even give you a Victorian era setting.
I see the Mega man and Mega man X in this game. I like how it reminds me of the past. Yes there are a few glitches and bugs but I think it is a decent game. Some platforming issues at times but it has that Mega man feel. I recommend it to people who like Mega Man, shooters and platform games.
P.S. Sooooo much better then Mighty Number Nine. (Or whatever it is called)
