Hello dear Stepz users!

We have been working really hard to bring you a new update that fixes your data-related issues. Your feedback keeps us moving, so please tell us if you encounter other problems.

This update also contains a few enhancements and fixes as well:
- you will now be able to either personalise your step length or to have it automatically set by the app;
- if you miss some data from the past now you can reimport it from Health App, please make sure you have integration enabled;
- the automatic goal doesn't have a cap anymore, so you are pushed towards your goal even more;
- we improved the icon badge function;
- the widget automatically updates to the data of the new day after midnight;
- changing the metric system is also instantaneous.

More updates and improvements are coming and we are also working on the possibility to use a style more similar to the previous version of the app. Stay tuned!

Not so happy this time around

I had been very happy with Stepz. It’s a nice app and I appreciated how it was laid out - day totals, week, month, etc. I particularly enjoyed sliding the screen to view step totals per individual walk. I am much less excited about the new iteration. For starters, I was looking at my 14,500 step total yesterday (my daily goal is 10,000), and that result was in Red not in Green; moreover, I lost steps in the update; it now shows 0 steps for 2/13 and 2/14 each when I had totals of 17,000+ and 20,000+ for those 2 days. I can no longer find individual step totals for individual walks. This isn’t a minor thing - when I try a new route I like to see the step total so that I know for future walks. Also the activity total is way skewed, e.g. a step total of 12,000 equals like 2 hours 22 minutes while a 16,000 total equals like 1 hour 12 minutes. Overall, I find the new version difficult - too many choices to swipe through, colors I’m not sure about - light green, blue!? I understand the need to improve, eliminate bugs, etc. but this version seems a definite step backward.

I liked it until the last update

I downloaded this app during the summer and checked it every day through fall and winter. Overall, i find it really encouraging to know that i walked 4 or 5 miles on days when i haven’t taken time to “work out” but I’ve been busy/on my feet throughout the day. Having the data also gives me an incentive to walk at least as much as I did on other days within the last week.
But I just deleted the app last night because the last update screwed up my data. On Friday I had more than 10K steps, and on Saturday I barely had any because my phone battery was dead most of the day. after the update it showed Wednesday as having more than 12K steps but barely any for Thursday Friday or Saturday, like the one really low day was stretched out to three. I’m also skeptical about the accuracy because there have been times that i was sitting on the bus or subway for a while, and the step counter went up before I stood up. I’m not sure if I’ll download the same app to see if that fixes it or just try a different app.

Enjoying this helpful app 🐕

I love this app & find it very helpful. I’ve lost 35lbs that was absolutely necessary 2 improve my health n a 5 month period.
If you need 2 loose weight or u r
just trying 2 b healthier this app is extremely helpful.
Also, I do forget sometimes when I last took my dog out & this app helps me n this way as well. Sometimes it’s a life saver
when it comes 2 knowing when I need 2 take my pup out again. (I’ve
tried writing this type of info down
& yet I will forget sometimes.

There r times when I’m trying 2 keep a diary of things needed 2 done & @ what time such as medicine & this app can b helpful with this as well, if I was out walking or running errands etc.

Ps I’ve used this app 4 ab 10 months daily. I made sure I really believed n this app & found it 2 b efficient n how it’s listed b4 leaving a review.

UPDATE: thought I had sent this review out already....
I’m now noticing that sometime after the last update I can’t always get the app 2 show any info. It just says trying 2 get info. This has led me 2 look 4 a new app & I demoted my five star rating 2 only 3. I hope this gets fixed bc it was an exceptional app for me. However, I’m not waiting on the developers.
Just checked 4 the second time today & it’s working properly. I’ve noticed the developers have mentioned an update 2 fix the above problems. However, it wasn’t working recently. I’m sorry but I can’t remember if that was 2 days ago or more.
