I disagree with other reviewers

This is the first time I’ve disagreed in general with other reviewers on the App Store. I’ve tried many apps. I listen to podcasts for about six hours a day while I work, every day. I have tried about half a dozen other podcast apps. Stitcher is the only one that works consistently. Podcast play continuously. I can easily create different playlists. Playback works on Sonos. I can skip, I can write each episode, I can speed up episodes, the interface is great, and I have enjoyed the app for years. I hope these really bad reviews mean very little and that the app continues to develop and remain great. It is my favorite of all the podcast apps I’ve tried. The one thing I really wish for, but which none of the other apps I’ve tried has anyway, is that when I play Stitcher through Sonos I could speed up my episodes. Pocketcaats also plays nicely with Sonos, but with them I still can’t speed up episodes through Sonos. And with all podcast apps that play through Sonos, there is still an annoying issue that unheard and heard episodes are not synced properly.

Utter garbage, can't download episodes

This app is terrible - unintuitive interface, horrible search function, bad playback and playlist controls, and an annoying Siri-like robot (that you can't turn off as far as I can tell) that says "RESUMING EPISODE" in a voice that sounds like she's having a stroke. It's as if this thing was programmed by a bunch of extras from an ITT Tech commercial.

I only downloaded this and paid for premium to listen to old episodes of How Did This Get Made. Stitcher is the only way to listen to those episodes but, as good as the show is, it's not worth the headache of dealing with this app. You are SUPPOSED to be able to download episodes and listen to them offline - however, this feature DOES NOT WORK AT ALL! The episodes will download, but as soon as you play them once they will be removed and you can't listen to them offline ever again. Ever. No matter what you do, there's no way to actually download episodes so that you can listen to them without a wifi or data connection.

Perhaps Earwolf can create a new comedy podcast dedicated to what a bad joke this app is. Please hire better programmers ASAP to fix this buggy mess.

Five Stars to Two since update

I was always very happy with Stitcher especially the features like the listen later menu and being able to sort the playlist content by unheard or most recent. But, since the latest update of iOS or stitcher, it has become very cumbersome and simple user features, like already heard podcasts being marked as played, are not working consistently. I continually have to Stop what I am doing and advance out of a podcast because I have already heard it that day. Also, the new format is clunky and harder to get around. Having a drop down immediately under the podcast episode title with things like listen later, was very convenient, now I have to scroll to the bottom read through a list of options written in a small font, and figure out what I want to do. Descriptions are hard to get to as well and the title screen for episodes just seems to take up space with really serving any purpose except obscuring options I want to get to. I have use this app for years and always highly recommended it but I’m now looking for a new app to use.
